Expected from Bendwinka. He never fooled me when he led 3-0 and 4-1 in the third. It was all show to make his tank look believable. I guess Olderer will give him his daily treat and walk in a park not to mention an autograph and the privilege to shake his hand after the match :o

Rogie's 28 consecutive GS QF's is an Open Era record (second is old man Connors with 27 and 3rd is Lendl with just half as many, only 14). Also, Rogie's were in 28 consecutive GSs, Connors skipped a bunch of GSs. The last time Rogie lost before the QF of a GS was in the 2004 FO, 3rd round loss 6-4 6-4 6-4 to a nobody. I say Rogie makes it 30 consecutive GS QFs in a row by the end of 2011, who sees him losing before the QF of W or the USO?

Two sets of close-to-top-level Federer, at the start of the third Stan caught him napping for a while. Truth be told, Stan also served better during this period. It was however clear from the very start that he wouldn't be able to get more than perhaps one set, but Roger didn't even want to grant him that.
Good job, Rog. Keep it going.

Not currently holding any Slams -> stat that matters.

They are a measure of different things to be honest. With Rafa currently holding 3 slams and Nole going on this incredible unbeaten streak, I don't think anybody is arguing who are the best players on tour as of right at this moment. Fed's 28 consecutive QF or better in Grand Slam tournaments is just a mark of his fantastic consistency.
