soda wasn't truly as good as the scoreline suggests. too many errors from both players.

Toad didn't need to be that good. But Simon should be a better test for the Toad.

Soderling was great in the first set, Mayer picked up in the second while Sod dipped for most of the rest of the match.

Lots of credit to Mayer for fighting so hard when he was down 5*-1 in the third, played some great points and kept it exciting for the crowd till the end, even if it didn't affect the outcome of the match.

Sod vs Simon should be good.

Toad enjoying his insurance break in the end.

Good match by Soderling. Hit 27 winners to 19 errors but most of those when he was in a comfortable lead. Started all three sets going up 2-0 and often lost a slight bit of focus after that. Mayer ultimatly disappointing but Soderling is in crazy form.

Averaging his FS over 200km/h. FH is deadly. So was the BH today. Next match vs Simon can be a good one

soderling advances untoubled. i don't think simon can stop him. a quarter-final with nadal would be a great battle

Soderling was on fire in parts of this match, I can only think his level kept dropping due to how poor Mayer was playing.

Robin had like 10 UE's, then went on to paint 9 more in the last three games or so.. He was playing a damn solid match.

Soderling and Ferrer, two guys playing well so far and flying under the radar. ;)

If you wanna try show irony in the matchups then use matches like Falla-Kubot and Chela-Rosol instead.. Not like Soderling, Nadal etc. shouldn't be in the 4th round..

the same thing always happens with robin

he plays good tennis, looks good and takes care of business on a collision course with novak, roger or rafael and then what happens when he meets them? he plays tight, collapsing at the worst possible moments and loses, most often in straight sets

i like robin but the same thing will happen again, nadal still has nothing to worry about..not unless he come out and plays so porrly that not even robin's collapse can help him

Robin looking good. Good to see Leo playing ok though, I remember seeing him a few years ago and wondering why he hadn't had better results.

Tough one with Simon next

Since 2009, Robin has lost to Federer five(?) times and Rafa two times in slams, beating them both one time. 2-7 is right in line of what you could expect.. In the french he's 2-2.
