The fit version of Baghdatis is far worse than the original roly-poly we all know and love. He must have lost his sense of balance with the flab disintegrated.

This wasn't really unexpected. Baghdatis is an awful player, I don't know how he's still top 30. Terrible player.

He beaten Murray at Rotterdam. But his record is 9-13 in this year. Bad enough specially for top 30 players. This year is nothing for him.

You've got to give it to Mayer who is basically fighting for his career in this tournament. Out of the 225 points he picked up in the past year, 90 were from reaching Round 3 in RG 2010. Entering the tournament ranked #217 in the world, he could have dropped down to world #330 if he didn't defend his points, meaning he'd basically have to drop down to Futures and not get GS qualification places. As it is, he has now defended his 90 points plus picked up another 25 from winning qualifying, so he is provisionally up to world #205.
