Grigor just put us in a possition to not know what to expect - on one week he plays good and beat the likes of Baghdatis and made a great match with Flo, but the next week loosing to 338 ranked player after taking the first set 6-1???:o

so which Grigor will show on court - that's the question?

but you are right, we should not be pesimistic,Grisho will trash Pablito in 2 :rocker2:

you here it first here :yippee:

i was thinking that he tanked that match at the CH but this result today is very strange, really. He won over Baghdatis and push Flo to 3 set and just a week later not able to even win a game in last two sets is very strange

well..i dont know

i want to see him play

however if he's this injured to the point where he;'s being embarrased on court then regardless of how much he wants to play then he needs to withdraw

im sure he'll do whats best but i just dont want him to play if he shoudlnt

nadejda

he is not injured, he is ill, maybe virus or something like that. he tried to play but...

from the tournament website:

Hungarian :o talent, Grigor Dimitrov, was forced to retire in his first round match versus Spaniard Pablo Andujar. Due to illness, Dimitrov was forced to give up while being down 5-0.
In the second round, Andujar will play the winner of Baghdatis-Benneteau.

and i am not sure if the result today is related with the one two weeks ago. maybe he just lost then, tanked the match or whatever. if this is a virus it shouldn't be so long.

EDIT: a lady here in Bulgaria commented at a website that she was on the match and he looked very ill. hopefully he will recover from that virus on time from RG. good it is not an injury.

Hey, I'm french. The official website of the tournament is not clear : in french they say Dimitrov was suffering, that's all.

nadejda
05-16-2011, 01:47 PM
really? that's bad

EDIT: just saw that tenniskafe.com - a BG website had contacted the press office of the tourney and they said it was an illnes, but no further information, so it is morelikely a virus...

05-16-2011, 02:14 PM
well on one hand thats a relief that its not an injury

but that REALLY sucks, poor grisho being sick today:sad:

hopefully he'll recover fully and be okay for roland garros

Its not serious illness, no worry. But among all, he just had a bad day. He decided to retire to get ready for Rolland Garros. So we fans will see him in actions in Paris for sure.

His dad said that he has an allergy at this time of the year and that might be the problem. From this allergy his eyes waters and that might be the reason for him to retire if he wasn't able to see OK.
