So all gold and siver medals from this world championship go to athletes from China

Just so tough for a European to win the WC. Have to beat a number of Chinese players in a row.
But congrats to Zhang Jike who has a very neat style of play.
Kind of ironic Werner Schlager has won a WC but Boll hasn't. Similar to Gaudio and Coria in a way.

London 2012 allows only 2 players per country in singles. That's a joke especially for the Chineses, but also Germany has 5 top 25 players. But it should be easier for Boll to make the final then. He might even be a top 2 seed, so wouldn't have to beat a Chinese. The top 28 right after Rotterdam are the first players to qualify, so I guess Wang Hao and Zhang Jike are in?

http://www.allabouttabletennis.com/london-2012-olympic-games.htmlThere's a complicated system of qualification for the London 2012 Olympic Games table tennis events, but without getting too bogged down with the full details, here's a brief summary ...
86 men and 86 women will qualify for the Olympic Games as follows:
For each gender...
The top 28 players on the ITTF World Ranking list as at 16 May 2011 (with a maximum of two players per NOC)
40 players who qualify via continental qualification events held between 1 June 2011 and 22 April 2012 (Africa 6, Asia 11, Europe 11, Latin America 6, North America 3 and Oceania 3)
The top 2 players at the Final World Qualification Tournament who have not already qualified (this number may be increased - see below*)
One player by invitation of the IOC/ANOC/ITTF
One player from the host NOC
Up to 14 players (Team Quota) to enable NOCs that qualify for the team event, but do not otherwise qualify enough players, to form that team
The reason why the WC is greater than the Olympic gold.

Wang Hao has all lucky net/frame balls in his favour, but Zhang Jike still seems too strong today. :yeah: Hope he wins it now.

Wang Hao hits a serve error at 2-3 5-9, but Zhang chokes from 10-5, misses 6 match points, then saves a sp at 11-12 and takes the 7th mp at 13-12.
