Well Darcis may have more important things to do.
Like beating Monfils and Ferrer/Stakhovsky at RG.

Filo V.

Hopefully Steve beats Monfils! If he does, he won't be able to play here. Even if he doesn't, an off week may be the correct decision.

If Bjorn is smart he'll get a WC here. GL to all of my favorites. Especially Florent.

yes there was an article about him during French Open
http://www.lequipe.fr/Tennis/breves2011/20110523_190420_serra-a-le-blues.html

He says he's suffering from hip and hasn't as will as in the beginning of his career. He is going to play some challengers now, and will decide after summer about his retirement or not.

Great win by Joćo Sousa, over the former world junior number 1, Ignatik. Remember that joćo sousa is not that much older than the Ignatik, only 2 years. He saved 3 MP (2 in the second set, 1 in the third). After a very bad beggining of season, some very nice results by Joćo, included back-to-back futures, without loosing a set. Seems like that win in Estoril Open, made miracles to his confidence.

Huge win of Joćo. Best of his career, probably. Also in a very good time, cause he's climbing up in the ranks, but in these 2 weeks, we has 45 points to defend, so he manage to already defend 29 of them. If he wins tomorrow (and that's not impossible, AT ALL) he already defended his 45 points, and with one match and an entire week to win more points, when the more logical thing, was he to drop in the rankings.

FORĒA JOĆO PARA AMANHĆ!

As long as Shittymayr doesn't win this event it's all good. Too bad Simon lost but of course he would after Thursday's match.

Joćo wins 7-6(5) 6-4!!!:worship: Huge huge result by Sousa. Best tournament of his carrer, at the age of 22 he reach a challenger final! If he wins tomorrow, top 200!

About the match, of course i didn't see it, but one statistic, caught my attention. Only 1 BP in the entire match! It was Sousa that had it, and he converted! I know that this 2 players are very good in the serve (specially Ciric), but still, I don't remember in the last months seeing a tennis match with only one BP during all the match.

Anyway, i'm very happy for Joćo, he manage to defend all his 45 points (and win more 3) in only one week, when it was expected that in too weeks we would go back outside top250! VAMO LĮ JOĆO!

Flyboy
Have a burning hatred of some defensive, high-level, clay challenger players like Gremelmayr and yet love ones like Ramirez Hidalgo that are arguably even less inspiring :D

Ruben is so amazing. I love his grinding, serve and awkwardness. Denis is annoying and obnoxious and his game is boring. I dislike him more than pretty much everyone outside of Kukushkin.

Gremelmayr should be amazingly awkward like RRH and then Filo would like him ;)

Tulipe (the chick who writes reports from Ostrava) at least admits it straight RRH has great legs.

What a week for portuguese tennis! 2 challenger titles, and we didn't even need our usual hero (Gil) to do that! I'm happy for Rui, but of course i'm more happy for Joćo. it was his first tittle, he's still young (22), so I hope he can capitalize this moment and finish the yeat at least in top150, and next year can achieve top 100.

I suspected after this bagel that Struff would collapse, normal thing in tennis ;)

new German tennis generation continues being rather clumsy when it matters... sad for country with such traditions

Things are looking good! Let's not forget that Magali De Lattre also won a 10.000$ ITF event!

Yes, it was the first time two Portuguese players won titles on the same week! Amazing... Joćo is coming of age: His win over Ignatik on the second round was gutsy, followed by a great turn around against Kamke. From then on, he was on a roll! And to achieve this feat in a time when he had a whole lot of points to defend, makes it more worthy.

Now, let's hope Gastćo Elias comes back in style and we can hope to have 4 players in the top-200 at the end of the season!
