Fortunately for Fernando, this will be overwhelmed in terms of publicity by an even worse loss by Murray.

This was slow, slow hard against a lower ranked clay court specialist countryman. If Vernando can blow a 1-0 set lead in this one, he is capable of losing to anyone at the moment...

Verdasco is just as pathetic as Murray. Here's a guy with a hell of a serve and a truckload of talent most players would gladly trade for, and yet he's wasting it by losing to guys like Andujar. What a mental case Fernando is. Maybe he should just stick to what he does best in modeling, because tennis is not something he does well.

This is WAYYYYYYYYY worse than Murray's loss. But major props to Pablo, he has really improved his game. Nando won more points but not the critical ones, and then his double-faultitis kicked in the 3rd set and cost him. He's really struggling at the worst possible time, his ranking could be seeing a major drop in the wrong direction.

I am soooo fucking pissed off right now! Fer should be ashamed of himself. Fucking unbelievable! This doesn't even happen in the WTA.. his level right now is below the WTA!

First of all.. he was basically CRUISING through first set! Then he had a whole bunch of break point opportunities in the second set, but failed to convert EVERY single one of those.. THEN he Double faults on SP in the tiebreak. Then he is at least on serve through most of the third set.. until he chokes like the mental midget we all know he is.. The king of double faulting showed up today! He DFed THREE times in ONE game to hand the gift of break to Andujar. Most pathetic match I've witnessed (well, seen the lives cores to) in a LONG time. Like I said, this doesn't even happen in the WTA ffs..

Fer should be ashamed of himself. Pathetic performance today. There's no excuse, and quite frankly.. he doesn't deserve to stay in the Top 10 the way he's playing these days. And this is coming from a fan.

99% of these threads are premature and over-exaggerated. This one is not. Fiasco's best days are long behind him, and even he knows it. Perhaps the greater question is how the hell a lifelong choker who never had much heart to begin with got to be a top ten player in the first place.
