Tsunami had so many chances to win easier. DF'd in critical situations at least 3 times, including on break point serving for the match at 5-4. But he finally got it done in the end.

Brands one step closer to being out of the top 100.

Good to see Gabashvili doing well. On his day he can cause some discomfort for the very best (although he has yet to topple them).

On this match Gaba served 2 times for win the match and lost the service.

And on tie-break Gaba was with 6-2 and lost 3 match points for finally win with 7-5 on tie-break of second set.

Well, that was funny. Gabashvili faced only 2 break points until he had to serve for the match at *5-4, then he got broken. Then Brands had 40-0, but Gabashvili broke and got the chance to serve it out again at *6-5. He failed again. In the TB Gabashvili got to 6-2, lost 3 points in a row (2 on serve) to finally get the match at 6-5*.

Brands defends a title in Monza in a couple of weeks. Let's all hope for an R1 exit at the event he plays that week!
