Miami R1: Andujar def. Tomic 6-4 3-6 7-5Luinir 03-23-2011, 05:49 PM Hahaha, good bye Tomic :wavey: v-money 03-23-2011, 05:50 PM First ATP win for Andujar on outdoor hard. Hard one against Tursanov on indoor hard last year, when Tursanov retired. Sort of embracing from Tomic. TMJordan 03-23-2011, 05:50 PM Tomic Suck madmax 03-23-2011, 05:50 PM expected TMJordan 03-23-2011, 05:51 PM good wc choice tennizen 03-23-2011, 05:52 PM That's embarrassing. jonathancrane 03-23-2011, 05:52 PM Always a good day when this prick loses Suck it v-money 03-23-2011, 05:52 PM expected As bad as Tomic is I don't know if this is expected. Andujar was a 4+ underdog according to the books and Andujar has no experience on hardcourt. samanosuke 03-23-2011, 05:53 PM How many WC's have to be wasted to some people understand that Tomic isn't a real deal ? _Chaz 03-23-2011, 05:56 PM :haha: Really a wasted WC, hopefully he doesn't get WCs outside of Australia anymore  Guys, he just lost against a guy, who won 1 (!!!) HC ATP tour & Challenger tour match before. And that was won because his opponent retired. Congrats Pablo, on your 1st "real" HC win :) madmax 03-23-2011, 05:56 PM As bad as Tomic is I don't know if this is expected. Andujar was a 4+ underdog according to the books and Andujar has no experience on hardcourt. I was obviously being sarcastic here, as I expected Tomic to beat the spaniard as well...guess I overestimated his limited abilities even more then Blackbriar 03-23-2011, 05:58 PM Tomic, the future of tennis? let me laugh. scoobs 03-23-2011, 05:58 PM Andujar wins his 4th ever Hard Court match - at ANY level. Against the future. Keyser Soze 03-23-2011, 05:59 PM Tomic losing on hard against a mediocre claycourter. Results like this make the world a better place. Pablito :worship: scoobs 03-23-2011, 06:00 PM And his 3rd win ever was on a retirement :rolls: Li Ching Yuen 03-23-2011, 06:00 PM Incredible effort by Pablo. He now has SURPASSED Riba's hard court record with 2 wins to 1 on hardcourts. La creme d'ATP. tennizen 03-23-2011, 06:01 PM scoobs can you open the Miami live scoring thread? LawrenceOfTennis 03-23-2011, 06:03 PM I'm kinda shocked. I don't know why you hate him. I didn't know anything about him except Wimbledon juniors sf, until the aussie open this year. His performance against Nadal was simply fantastic. Both forehand and backhand was out of this world for a 18 year old. Seems like he can't find his game yet. Yes, he can be part of tennis future I believe. scoobs 03-23-2011, 06:03 PM scoobs can you open the Miami live scoring thread? Done. Nadull_tard 03-23-2011, 06:05 PM OMG, another level of embarrassment has been broken. Good job, Tomug. mrclyde 03-23-2011, 06:05 PM Why Tomic got WC? Luinir 03-23-2011, 06:05 PM I'm kinda shocked. Enough? Look at him Dallas challenger match with Bogomolov. DartMarcus 03-23-2011, 06:08 PM Another comedy show by australian player. Ball, Guccione, Tomic and Phillippousis peaking at the same time. Andujar made 0 aces and 7 double faults just to keep the match close. Ad Wim 03-23-2011, 06:08 PM Lol, it is harder to lose against Andujar on hard than to win against him. What a terrible performance by the next GOAT. LawrenceOfTennis 03-23-2011, 06:10 PM okay, so none of you was impressed by his groundstrokes against Nadal? ossie 03-23-2011, 06:10 PM stop giving this clown wildcards, he is a waste of tennis balls. Ad Wim 03-23-2011, 06:11 PM Lol, it is harder to lose against Andujar on hard than to win against him. What a terrible performance by the next GOAT. Filo V. 03-23-2011, 06:12 PM Good job Pablo winning a rare match on HC. My former most hated player has really improved his game and has become more competitive on the surface, he got a decent draw and took advantage. His serve stats aren't very good but Tomic struggled holding himself. As for Bernard, this is a bad loss but he's 18, just needs more time. Remember this being Miami, is a lot like a home event for the Spanish/Latin American players. So this result isn't too surprising to me. vn01 03-23-2011, 06:12 PM  :o WTF, Bernie! This Andujar is pretty good player, but I have never expected that he can beat Tomic...on HC DanaKz 03-23-2011, 06:17 PM You know I don't like Tomic at all. But this is becoming sad. We fucking need fresh blood! And see young gun struggling is no good. You can disagree but I thing Tomic has talent. This is painful to watch. He has to leave his father and find real coach. And of course he has to work on his future, not wait for future to come but work on it. There is no fairy-godmother with magical wand for him. DanaKz 03-23-2011, 06:20 PM okay, so none of you was impressed by his groundstrokes against Nadal? I was. And I am ready for loving to hate him though. Such a spoiled brat. Talented spoiled brat of course. He need some changes. Johnny Groove 03-23-2011, 06:21 PM Always good to see this overrated punk lose. Roamed 03-23-2011, 06:22 PM Waste of a wildcard. He'll carry on getting them though unfortunately. GlennMirnyi 03-23-2011, 06:22 PM Pathetic. Belludal 03-23-2011, 06:23 PM Tomic = MUG rocketassist 03-23-2011, 06:37 PM :haha: :haha: Overrated mug. LocoPorElTenis 03-23-2011, 06:40 PM WC horribly wasted :retard: Well done, Pablito! :yeah: DanaKz 03-23-2011, 06:41 PM Of course Tomic worked hard to make himself looking ridiculous but please he'll beat Donny Young on his field if he continues. And btw - DonFather was Top-100 when he was 18! oranges 03-23-2011, 06:55 PM okay, so none of you was impressed by his groundstrokes against Nadal? No, he's a junkballer with not much of a defense Dmitry Verdasco 03-23-2011, 07:03 PM http://www.threadbombing.com/data/media/2/LAMONT.gif Sonja1989 03-23-2011, 07:13 PM Well done Andujar!!! :) trojanstallion 03-23-2011, 07:19 PM Tomug loses = Good day in my book! Waste of a WC, waste of space, and worst of all, waste of decent talent. This kid is a douche. tennisfan856 03-23-2011, 07:36 PM As depressing as it is to see davydenko to lose to mr. anderson, it's equally gratifying to see this sunglass wearing douchebag lose. propi 03-23-2011, 08:20 PM Congrats Pablo :yeah: Grab a bunch of victories and get ready for clay season :bounce: FlameOn 03-23-2011, 09:02 PM Can't play outside Australia. Pirao666 03-23-2011, 09:47 PM Tomic seems to be an overhyped mug, and to think this idiot had the nerve to turn down training with Hewitt  nole_no1 03-23-2011, 09:55 PM Another WC wasted on Tomic Expect another one on Blake Next dombrfc 03-23-2011, 09:56 PM A lot to learn... fast_clay 03-23-2011, 10:51 PM karma is a bitch... the way the guy canned his 1st round in dallas he deserves a couple of years worth of embarrassing first round losses... really... not a pro-worthy attitude... shiaben 03-23-2011, 10:53 PM And this is the future of tennis talents 0_o............... Him, the Bulgarian, and a few of the others have had abysmal performances thus far. Harrison might be interesting if he can add power and better technique to his game. VolandriFan 03-23-2011, 11:31 PM :worship: Andujar can tar-and-feather the brat on any surface. Hewitt =Legend 03-23-2011, 11:55 PM Rumour has it, that Carsten has been teaching Tomic the notions of comic relief. Both of them losing to Riba and Andujar on hardcourt... Master Gooch approves.. Action Jackson 03-23-2011, 11:56 PM Tomic is doing stand up comedy, this stuff is hilarious. NoFroz 03-24-2011, 12:12 AM Just stop getting WC. Is the best for his game, for us and for the other player who gets the wc. It's probably worse to Andujar only Topspindoctor 03-24-2011, 12:37 AM I see Tomug is back to losing to nobodies. This clown's attitude and awful. He needs to sort his shit out and stop wasting WC's :o  Mungo 03-24-2011, 01:40 AM Don't panic, Tomic is just in the pre season of AO 2012. Chris. 03-24-2011, 05:09 AM Tomic. You won 6 more points and still couldnt win. Im really starting to worry. samanosuke 03-24-2011, 06:51 AM Few days ago... Only Tomic deserves WC. Today... I see Tomug is back to losing to nobodies. This clown's attitude and awful. He needs to sort his shit out and stop wasting WC's :o  LawrenceOfTennis 03-24-2011, 07:04 AM Few days ago... Today... haha, yeah this is the way how they change their opinions day after day, match after match. Pity them. gulzhan 03-24-2011, 07:12 AM  tennisgolfguru 03-24-2011, 07:42 AM Don't panic, Tomic is just in the pre season of AO 2012. His performance against Nadal was simply fantastic. Both forehand and backhand was out of this world for a 18 year old. Seems like he can't find his game yet. Yes, he can be part of tennis future I believe. Because Tomic is the world's biggest brat - it's one thing to be hyped brat and to back that up - but Tomic is a no talent pusher at this point and unless he changes his futuer is DonYoungian in nature. And I doubt he os going to get the benefit of too many WC's outside of OZ in the near future: http://www.footfault.net/2011/03/23/bernard-tomic-insults-us-tournament-directors/ Forehander 03-24-2011, 08:58 AM suck crap ahahahhahaha hotdog 03-24-2011, 10:10 AM The kid's only 18. How many of you thought you could rule the world at that age? oranges 03-24-2011, 10:38 AM The kid's only 18. How many of you thought you could rule the world at that age? Are you saying he has a perfectly normal attitude for 18-year old? :haha: SVK 03-24-2011, 10:42 AM Tomic:bigwave::haha: hotdog 03-24-2011, 10:45 AM Not many 18 year olds are thrust into the limelight...don't be so quick to judge him. Make your opinions when he's 25. fran70 03-24-2011, 12:07 PM This sort of defeats prove that Tomic is not ready for this level. He needs to spend sometime in the Challenger tour and get victories there before thinking about making the jump to ATP level. The guy definitely has the potential but still lacks of the experience. Orka_n 03-24-2011, 12:13 PM Embarrassing stuff. I agree with Fran, Tomic needs to roll the challenger circuit for a while. tennisgolfguru 03-24-2011, 12:13 PM Not many 18 year olds are thrust into the limelight...don't be so quick to judge him. Make your opinions when he's 25. The 18 year old Ryan Harrison seems to be doing OK. And 18 is simply not that young on the tour - Murray won his first atp tour title at 18 years old and he is considered a late bloomer. hotdog 03-24-2011, 12:17 PM Tomic needs to play some more qualifying matches. These wild cards just feed his ego. He needs to knuckle down and win some qualifying matches. hotdog 03-24-2011, 12:19 PM Harrison has had one good tournament and you have to remember he is nearly 6 months older than Tomic. A lot can happen in that time. LawrenceOfTennis 03-24-2011, 01:10 PM It's funny that many members here praised Tomic's game and no calling him a brat etc...I know he has a terrible attitude bla bla bla but damn...how it's possible tht nobody respect his baseline game? Nadal had a lot of trouble with some of those BHs and FHs. tennisgolfguru 03-24-2011, 01:52 PM Harrison has had one good tournament and you have to remember he is nearly 6 months older than Tomic. A lot can happen in that time. Harrison played very well at the US Open last year as well. The point however is that Tomic's play has not really improved over the past year. He almost beat Cilic at the OZ Open in 2010 - but his fitness, if anything, seems worse today than it did then. Nor have I seen any improvements in his game. If he has not improved in a full year at this stage in his young career - and at his age - I think that says something and is worrying. And his results have not improved in the last year either. hotdog 03-24-2011, 05:09 PM Of course he has improved. You don't improve your ranking by over 100 spots if you haven't. Certinfy 03-24-2011, 05:11 PM COME ON! Good for the game. | |
