Good job Pablo winning a rare match on HC. My former most hated player has really improved his game and has become more competitive on the surface, he got a decent draw and took advantage. His serve stats aren't very good but Tomic struggled holding himself.

As for Bernard, this is a bad loss but he's 18, just needs more time.

Remember this being Miami, is a lot like a home event for the Spanish/Latin American players. So this result isn't too surprising to me.

Because Tomic is the world's biggest brat - it's one thing to be hyped brat and to back that up - but Tomic is a no talent pusher at this point and unless he changes his futuer is DonYoungian in nature.

This sort of defeats prove that Tomic is not ready for this level. He needs to spend sometime in the Challenger tour and get victories there before thinking about making the jump to ATP level. The guy definitely has the potential but still lacks of the experience.

The 18 year old Ryan Harrison seems to be doing OK. And 18 is simply not that young on the tour - Murray won his first atp tour title at 18 years old and he is considered a late bloomer.

Tomic needs to play some more qualifying matches. These wild cards just feed his ego. He needs to knuckle down and win some qualifying matches.

Harrison has had one good tournament and you have to remember he is nearly 6 months older than Tomic. A lot can happen in that time.

Harrison played very well at the US Open last year as well. The point however is that Tomic's play has not really improved over the past year. He almost beat Cilic at the OZ Open in 2010 - but his fitness, if anything, seems worse today than it did then. Nor have I seen any improvements in his game. If he has not improved in a full year at this stage in his young career - and at his age - I think that says something and is worrying. And his results have not improved in the last year either.

Of course he has improved. You don't improve your ranking by over 100 spots if you haven't.
