Haas won't certainly play there

he decided to use hius protected ranking and was not obliged to do so

moreover, the entry-list just comes now and he had all the time until monday to withdraw.

It means that so far he still hopes to come.

You'd expect Haas to, and Tsonga, Querrey, Delpo and Nalbandian all might as well.

None officially, though.

Am I the only one thinking that Frederico Gil really deserves a WC here?
With all he did in Monte Carlo this week, this would mean that a lot of Portuguese would come to MS Madrid to see him play.

Is Djokovic going to play Madrid? I hope so! That would be a good one to play before the French, Rome aswell! It could do him good to play Nadal before the French!

I am pleased Djokovic looks like he will play. I hope he does,nt go too far in Belgrade as this is so much more important!

Last year Djoković fell in Belgrade QF, but still has not appeared in Madrid. Possible the same scenario this year. Maybe he intends to avoid Nadal before RG, and wants to take RG title instead of masters series tournament.

What does it mean? Ferrero, Granollers and Andújar has a wild card?

He make similar schedule as last year except for Belgrade but he don't need play there because he has more than 2 250s title. And he played here in last year.

Petzschner was originally in the Q-Entry List... Now he is out due to the fact he reached Munich SF...

Is he getting a SE for the Main Draw now or is he not meant to play??

He's not getting SE. No SE spots in MD due to the fact that there are no qualified events (ATP1000, ATP500) in previous week.

The first post always shows that there are possible for SE or aren't. At least he will relax few day and he can play qualifier match in Rome. :)

Raonic not withdrawing? From his twitter:

"Thank you everyone for the messages yesterday, I'm disappointed I couldn't complete the match. I am in Madrid. I will focus my energy into getting my back recovered and ready to play."

So it looks like he will play Madrid.

JMDP is using his protect ranking of 5 for MD entry. If he was lucky enough to use his entry time ranking of 51, he could have saved one of his protect ranking opportunities. He has totally 9 such opportunities and he has used 6 including Madrid. Of course you'd think with his current ranking of 32, he won't need protect ranking any more:-)
