Good win for Delpo.

03-12-2011, 11:03 PM
Legenda played great in the end of the first set but then Del Potro started controlling the rallies and played more aggressive

03-12-2011, 11:05 PM
:worship: Del Potro Express gaining steam :smoke:

03-12-2011, 11:06 PM
Delpo!!! :bounce: Great match!

03-12-2011, 11:06 PM
it is the second time in six attempts Del Potro wins the match after losing the first set (previous win vs Lopez 67 76 76)

good to see him fighting back despite the rustyness

03-12-2011, 11:06 PM
looks like he'll be playing dolgo next

03-12-2011, 11:06 PM
The real no4 is coming for his ranking :smoke:

03-12-2011, 11:07 PM
JMDP is on fire!!!!

Soderling/Dolgo will end this nonsense.

Congrats to Juan Martin :yeah:, Ljubo

Soderling/Dolgo will end this nonsense.

I sure hope so. ;)

38% serve in the 3rd was what cost him. Bad serving overall, but especially in the third set.

03-12-2011, 11:11 PM
Fucking awesome! :bounce: Never expected such a good comeback :awww:

03-12-2011, 11:12 PM
Potheads have something to look forward to now.

03-12-2011, 11:12 PM
the serve-bot has been disposed of even though del potro had to lose a set in the process.

03-12-2011, 11:12 PM
The king is quickly making his way back, baby.

In the last two sets, Ljubicic played like a 55 year old. He couldn't move at all, his forehand was a disaster, his returning was poor and his serve starting falling apart, which is what really cost him. Del Potro was pretty good in the final two sets, was much more aggressive and authoritative. Congrats to him on the victory. Major hit in the rankings for Ljubo.

03-12-2011, 11:13 PM
Soderling/Dolgo will end this nonsense.

Who cares, they're all losing to the Donfather.

03-12-2011, 11:14 PM
the serve-bot has been disposed of even though del potro had to lose a set in the process.Serve-bot? What? Legenda has a lot more diversity than Delpo. He is getting old though.

03-12-2011, 11:15 PM
Del Potsmoker can both take and deliver hits!

03-12-2011, 11:17 PM
I'm no fan of Del Potro, but if he keeps winning like this after his year out I'll be really impressed. Getting somewhere close to the Top 20 this year will be nothing short of formidable. :yeah:

03-12-2011, 11:19 PM
ljubo really blew a lot of opportunities in the 2nd set. The forehand down the line telegraphed by del potro was just a momentum killer. Tough to see someone lose with the chances he had.

03-12-2011, 11:28 PM
Delpo :worship: Rocketing up those rankings! :)

03-12-2011, 11:42 PM
good win for Del Potro, good to see him fight despite the loss of the first set :)

next target: Dolgo, it won't be easy but I am confident

03-12-2011, 11:44 PM

Del Ponyboy you legend, knocking last year's fluke IW winner out so early, tennis thanks you. :yeah:

Nice win Delpo, and thanks for showing the *cough* defending champ the exit.

Really interested in Delpo vs Dolgo next round. :)

03-12-2011, 11:55 PM
Great win for Pony. :yeah:

03-13-2011, 12:05 AM
I don't know what you guys saw there but I think Delpo played below the level he had shown in the previous tournaments. It was in the middle of the 2nd set where he started going for his shots and dominating. The good thing is he defeated a decent player, being out of form for most part of the match. Keep fighting delpo :) !

03-13-2011, 01:18 AM
keep it up Delpo :worship:

03-13-2011, 01:58 AM
Legenda

03-13-2011, 03:00 AM
I thought the match was over after Ljubo got 1st set, but HELL he could win a three-setter

03-13-2011, 03:27 AM

03-13-2011, 04:18 AM
Juan :woohoo:
Those last two sets were pretty good, the first one was decent but Legenda was more consistent there :yeah:
I don't expect Juan to go too far in here, but I think he'll be a menace at the US Open Series :D

Disgraceful the Juan Mugrin Del Clowngo bandwagon. Nothing against the guy, but Legenda is, well, a legend and this is probably the end from him. He can still play OK but he'll have too much trouble dealing with a poor ranking like Hewitt and he can't sustain high play for 3 sets like in this match.

Goodbye Legenda, you may have had a clown game for a #3 but you had more mental strength and personality than all these younger mugs combined :wavey:

03-13-2011, 06:59 AM
What bad luck, last year's champ drawing Delpo for his first match, Just get up in the ranking already so the draws aren't all tweaked.

03-13-2011, 07:50 AM
Good match from Delpo! Ljubi actually seemed to play pretty well, at least the two first sets.. didn't get to see the last one.

The commentator though:tape::help: hope he gets fired.

03-13-2011, 08:57 AM
Legenda looking even older than usual :(

03-13-2011, 09:15 AM
Ljubo played good in 1st set. 1st serve percentage was really good. Then in 2nd set, key moment was the opening game. If ljubo held there match would go in completely diferent way. After that he had 1st serve percentage lower than 40%, and only thing I can say is that Ljubo cant win the match if he serves that bad. Too bad he dindt converted 4 break opportunities which he had in the 2nd set. DelPo was under the pressure whole 2nd set. Maybe he should just let it go and prepare for third, I think :o

Believe it or not, Ivan is still capable of doing some big stuff although he is 32 next week. Maybe he can do something bigger than this in Miami. But I think it was a chance here. Who knows if he will ever again play in Indian Wells :(

03-13-2011, 09:21 AM
Excellent. VAMOS DEL POTRO :worship:

03-13-2011, 11:17 AM
As I expected.........going to be a bit of a tumble down the rankings for Ivan, but its hopefully going to be a rise for Juan!

03-13-2011, 12:10 PM
Delpo is on the road to find his best tennis and victories like this one over Ljubo helps him on his confidence even more. I hope he can beat Dolgo and face a real threat like Soderling on hard courts to see where he is really standed (don`t read me wrongly, Dolgo is going to be really dangerous aswell).

03-13-2011, 01:02 PM
Potheads have something to look forward to now.Oh yes we do :aplot:

Top Dolg is toast.

03-13-2011, 04:29 PM
Strategical tank . Legenda doesn't want two same masters 1000 titles . He will rather win in Miami

03-13-2011, 05:38 PM
Poor Ljubicic will drop all those points now :tape:

Del Potro is getting better and better. :yeah:

03-13-2011, 05:42 PM

Q. How big is his forehand? When he won the US Open, people were talking about 100 mile an hour stuff. I don't know if that's accurate. Is it that big?
IVAN LJUBICIC: I don't feel that. I feel like if I give him off-pace balls that he can't produce anything. I just feel like with his forehand, if you give pace, then he uses your pace and then just rips it.
If he does that, yes, it's really -- it's really big shot. But as I said, I think way to play him, it's giving him a lot of off-pace balls and then attack him.
But as I said, I didn't have my legs behind me today, and of course didn't have my serve, which didn't make things easier.

some Journalists are unbelivable retarded, and Ljubo is on
crack, usually you need pace to produce.

I have feel these journalists are stupid as that commentator who did commentate this match.
