He is playing Cherbourg Challenger because his team decided it is more important for his career to do so and gain some points at the moment. He has promised to play in the next match this summer.

I don't think, we'll win against Belarus  But Grisha should concentrate on his singles career and play more ATP/Challenger tournaments ;)

Anyway, GO BULGARIA!!! БЪЛГАРИ ЮНАЦИ!!!

Sorry. I tiped it wrongly. What I meant is that Belarus has a better team than Bulgaria in this particular tie and Belarus is the favourite to win without Dimitrov

And also rethorical question - ''Why Ignatic team didn't decide that not playing in Davis Cup would be better for his career ? "

At least, we won one of the rubbers on Friday. 1-1 now. If only we can win the doubles match tomorrow, I think, we'll qualify for the 2nd round, but unfortunately, I think that we'll lose to Belarus 2-3

Does anyone know why Dimitrov didn`t play?

He plays in the Cherbourg Challenger this week. He reached the Final and tomorrow will play versus Nicolas Mahut :wavey:

Today was expected to lose the doubles match. Hope, we somehow win tomorrow both matches

Hi ! :wavey:

This is a pity that Dimitrov didn`t play this tie, otherwise this series would had finished in Bulgarian hands.

I guess that Grigor might be betting at this stage to raise up in the rankings but I guess that he could had played for his country and at the same time I think he had the chance to play a couple of ATP tournaments in JAN/FEB where he was on the main list of them and pulled out like in Chennai and Jo`burg where he had very good chances to pick up some easy points.

Probably at this stage he is finding more important to pick up easy points in Cherbourg CH which isn`t questionable of course.

Grisha was banned in January and February, so he couldn't play ATP tournaments, because of pushing the chair umpire in Helsinki CH semifinal last year. That was the reason for not playing Chennai and Johannesburg.

I support his decision not to play Davis Cup. It's useless for him, because he's the only good Bulgarian player. It's not enough to win. Better to think more about his singles career now. :wavey:
