Doubling ranking points for seeding purpose

What do think about the next suggestion:
Each player will add the points from the same event (even if they are not in his best 18) of last year for entry and seeding purpose.
That way, if a player is very good on that surface, it will make the draw more even.

Edit: on second thought, using this method for entry too is probably too much.

BTW, think about GS for example - the better players on that grand slams will be seeded higher.

No, just way too complicated. For the players especially, thinking about how they're going to create their schedule. Who wants to decide where to play based on ranking points from the year before that could help or hurt your seeding.

Stop the nonsense.

Wimbledon's unorthodox seeding system once per a year is enough for me.
