Favorite type of winner?

Everyone loves a good winner to get them out of their seats. Which shot do you think is the coolest/most difficult/flashiest/etc.?

I'd say that the return winner is my preference. Always gets a gasp out of the crowd, and can really change the dynamic of a return game.

Good question. I always enjoy seeing a perfectly executed lob, i guess that would be my favorite.

Sweet Jesus those shots are ridiculous. If only he would come back strong again.
He definately has the best Forehand on the ATP tour without any doubt.

Yeah, Delpo's forehand winners vs. Roger at that USO final back in 2009 were legendary.

My fave is a flashy looking one handed backhand down the line with power, sort of how Gasquet hits from time to time.

Low volley

Exactly. Well pushed low volley into the back of the court. Unfortunatly we don't see these too often anymore, because players settle for drop shots when they have to hit a low volley.

Interesting question. I don't have a single one, but I have a few. So I complied a list of my top 5 types of winner. Honourable mention goes to the backhand smash, which narrowly didn't make my shortlist.

5) Around the net post winners are a lot of fun. Perhaps Fedal can demonstrate...

Nadal vs Kohli, AO 2009:
G0UW1_oRrjA

Federer vs Lu, WIM 2009:
9PjM2vn_fcE

4) Dropshots are also fun. The second one in this video (Dolgopolov vs Nadal in Madrid) is insane:
e5CmBkxXBeA

Oh, and the half-volley drop shot makes it all the more fun. This gem is from Malisse vs Roddick at the AO:
GYTaLpggThE

Then finally there are drop shots off another drop shots. This is Murray vs Blake at the Queens' Club:
hFutMQLuZX0

3) Some people call it the smash-lob. I don't know what to call it, but what I do know is that this is one of my favourite winners of all time.

vs Roddick, Basel 2002:
p_4u481g5jc

vs Djokovic, USO 2008:
_OjMLOOaPqY

vs Korolev, AO 2009:
PPCXCfO7YkE

2) Here's a backhand sliced 'banana' shot. I've only seen Nadal execute this to such perfection:
1bgbivH04Rs

1) Saved the tweener until last. Federer's hit a fair few tweener winners, but my my textbook example would be his one in R1 against Dabul at USO 2010:
grGYJBew62w

My all time favourite though, has to be the Santoro tweener lob:

A winner is aesthetically most pleasing as the final shot of a great rally. If the whole point is well constructed and excuted, it doesn´t matter what the final shot is. Volley, down the line, crosscourt, smash, anything goes!

One-handed backhands down the line are one of my favorites...drop volleys are great too.

With regards to the FH, I really like to see transition winners with the FH, like when the player hits an approach shot that is a winner.
