Great pushing from the American hero throughout the match and especially on match point

Tipsarevic is ridiculous

Entertaining albeit clownish tiebreak.

Crap match: Tipsarevic as usual made stupid mistakes and Roddick as usual was a jerk  :o

The venue in Memphis is so ugly in comparison to Rotterdam, two '500' indoor tournaments but there's an impression they are separated by a decade http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s26/jeremyboycool/facepalm.gif

Tipsarevic should have won the 2nd set tie-break...

All I saw was the tiebreak...was there some specific reason for Roddick freaking out over that forehand wide at 7-7, or was he just being himself?

What was he doing this time?

at 7-7(?) Roddick hit a winner but was called wide, he jumped up and threw his racket on the floor :haha:

I am surprised this tourny doesn't have hawkeye installed

Roddick served absolute bombs today...constant 140mph+

What was he doing this time?

On 6-6 roddick missed a forehand just wide of the line, and when it was called out he jumped and threw his racket on the ground. (it actually was out). Then Tipsy choked, Roddick got a mini break and served it out.

I don't get how people think Roddick's attitude during the TB was stupid. Roddick thought he had it but when he didn't he jumped and threw his racquet down... who else hasn't done that..?

Roddick's reaction at set point down was priceless

Even if Tipsarevic had won the second set, I doubt he'd have won the match. He wasn't playing with much energy or enthusiasm and those are always keys for a Tipsy upset.

Good play Andy! Aggressive for most of the time and great serving!!

For all the apperance and image of a rebel, he's afraid to show any emotion for fear of getting the crowd against him. This is why l love Gonzo, Monty, and Rocky and why even though Janko has easily my fave off court personality, I feel like he can't really be my favorite player anymore as he's getting worse about it.

On a lighter note, fucking choker

Roddick is nowhere near his IW-Miami form from last year. I smell an even worse season than the last one, AO was a clear example.

yep.. Andy winning this was all the surprise imo

maybe it's the worst match of the tournament, especially the tie-break who was awful to see ( big chokes from Tipsarevic, infantile attitude from Roddick when he threw a tantrum against the umpire )

Roddick's match with Fergus Murphy as the umpire without Roddick's tantrum -> impossible.

Tipsy is content to be a tour groupie like cilic, ljubicic and karlovic. Winning tough matches is not a priority for them.

what does Roddick have against bald men? he should empathize with them since he himself will be bald in 5 years

It's about time Andy beat this clown.

Fergus Murphy brings out Andy's inner John McEnroe. heh
