WWW Memphis QF: Milos vs Robert Kendrick

The young vs the old battle for a spot in the SF.

Meanwhile the Milos bandwagon gets stronger and stronger. Go Milos

Terrific draw for Raonic. Even if he collapses in tiredness vs Fish in the semis, 180pts is a very tasty haul.

Milos to get into top 50 very soon.

02-17-2011, 07:54 PM
Raonic should serve it out in straights.

Kendrick can actually return fairly well vs big servers, I will take the upset here and say Kendrick in 3.

Was actually just thinking of this myself, seemed to have done really well when returning against Anderson in R1 (despite fucking up on a lot of break points :o) as well.

Kendrick in 3. :)

This is one I'd actually expect Milos to win, so I'm unfortunately predicting that Kendrick takes it...

Game is scheduled at 10:00am, couldn't be earlier!
Kendrick had a day rest, not Milos who played 3 sets.
So, I doubt Raonic could be in full form, but who knows?
Hope he can take that one as well.

Love Game

Milos in 2.

Both have big games. I imagine this will be tight, especially on the fast courts of Memphis. I wouldn't be surprised to see a 7-6 7-6 scoreline in either direction, but I'll go with Kendrick for fun and because Milos has to be getting tired.

I have nothing against Raonic, but it would be nice if Kendrick could win this...200pts and $59,000 would be a great reward for the years he has consistently hovered inside the top 150, and he'd practically guarantee himself another season in that bracket (and maybe even season-ending top 85).

Brutal scheduling for Raonic, and at some stage this is going to catch up with him. If not physical, then mental (so many matches already this season, and media hysteria building). Obviously he can serve himself at least into tiebreaks, but mental fortitude is absolutely key in those situations, especially when Kendrick can serve bombs of his own. My guess is that Kendrick would probably be the first to crack in whatever setting (highlighting his journeyman status), but there is no question that this a decent opportunity for him as well. I can definitely see this going either way.

Kendrick returns the bombs pretty well tbh.

Raonic must be feeling the schedule by now.
