Welcome back Pim Pim! :D

His bread and butter stuff seemed to be working well: booming serve difficult to return and solid enough ground strokes mixed up with a decent slice.

The start of a heroic comeback to the main tour?

I frickin' love this player. Always had, always will even though it seems his shoulder might fall off after all these injuries and comebacks and surgeries etc...

Excellent win. It's amazing how he can be away from the tour for such long periods only to come back and play cracking tennis and racking up wins like he's never been away.

Kindlmann, who knocked out Bolelli, is up next.

JJ played a good match for someone off the tour so long. Some rustiness, but the major power and angle combination, and the booming serve, are still there. You can see the talent is just there waiting to explode again, hopefully his shoulder holds up.

Not that Murray's performance in the final was any better, so why is he off the hook?

Exactly my thoughts for the tour needing a player like Pim-Pim. I'm surprised you got the score wrong, though. It was 6-3 6-1 6-1 :p Not that it matters

I'm pleased for him, just a bit cynical at this point - wondering if we'll see again 3 more withdrawals/retirements from tournaments in the near future and then see him vanish again for the best part of a year. I hope not cos it's getting more than a little bit sad at this point.

Sometimes when I write scorelines directly out of my memory I can miscount some numbers ;) I meant that some good players lose their matches too easily nowadays, matches are too predictable, especially during their progress.

You're starting to convince me :yeah:. Bet my Swedish is better than your Finnish .

You're still a troll though, unless you start posting more intelligent stuff (which is unlikely to happen :D). If you actually are not a troll, then the fact that you don't know who Pim Pim Johansson is is, well, pathetic really :p.
