Great from Robin. Serve big and accurate, shots powerful, deep, consistent, great angles, good movement, good at the net, great returning. Everything was clicking. Robin H. had nothing in his game to hurt Soderling nor change the momentum of the match.

It's fair to say that Soderling is pretty good, indoors.

He actually hit about 5 amazing volleys in this match.

Ozone :o said Haase was so talented. Then he gets blasted by a one-dimensional player

The real no.5 eases into the 2nd round. Good win, Robin. Way too powerful for Haase.

Soderling >>>>>>> Haase.

Soderling >>>>>>> every single player in the world, except for Murray, Djokovic, Federer and Nadal.
Soderling is one of the most dangerous players to play tennis, deadly power. I'm sure every player would rather not play him in their career.

Make sure you use Haase or Soderling instead of Robin next time they play each other;)

Anyways, Haase didn't stand a chance, Soderling was way too good, hoping for a Soderling - Murray F.

Good stuff, but it was just a first round. The clean hitting was there, aswell as the volley which is important for him on this surface.

So far, he is the real n°4, since Murray wasn't able to win his first GS title. Not even able to win a single set. It's not like he was playing Federer this time!

Good point, I didn't think about the fact they have the same first name :o Fixed it, though.

Rankings don't lie :-)

Murray will probably be number four after this tournament though, and for Indian Wells.

That was kind of odd to see the winner escorted off the court quickly, while the losing player (Haase) was given a long interview, and then signed three balls to hit into the crowd. Don't think I have ever seen that before. If you tuned in after the handshake you would have been certain that Haase came out on top today.

If Soderling had lost like that in Stockholm, he would've been off the court faster than he came in. Very strange indeed.

Should have been 6-0 in the 2nd set , Robin looked focused and he played and served solid. He has 0-3 vs Kohli but they haven't played since 08. Feels like Robins tuffest match before the final almost.

Ozone :o said Haase was so talented. Then he gets blasted by a one-dimensional playerYeah, Soderling is useless and will never get past R4 in a slam ever again... don't you agree? :rocker2:

Anyway, good start from Robin. He's such a monster indoors. The Kohli match will be interesting though.

Just an oncourt interview with the home player. That's what the crowd wants. Very usual at this tournament.

Nice little match between two of the best complete baseliners in the sport. Soderling has really impressed me as off late. Playing much better than he was with that pretender Magnus Norman. Shots have more penetration and he just looks the part. Haase will come of age soon enough. GREAT player. needs to take more time over his shots and improve shot selection. Once that happens he's top 20 easy. He also possesses something that generic mugs like Cilic, De bakker and co don't have...Charisma. He's very good to watch. Soderling should take the title on this form. he will be looking to improve himself after losing to the teenage girl in Aus

This entire post is nonsense. Especially that 1st sentence. Haase a complete baseliner? Soderling has not been playing better he has regressed and will keep going down till he gets where he belongs

Great win for Robin today. I was impressed with his volley today, first time since doubles in Båstad with mr. Björkman. Fun to see!

I do kinda agree though i'd say its 50/50 if they go up against eachother, guess we'll see that shift soon enough on the rankings!

Haha, I agree. Söderling has never been the complacent type, and even though the netgame will never come quite natural to him he's definitely getting better at it.

Looking forward to the clash against Kohls tomorrow now. It'll be the 2nd evening match.
