Is it over for Davydenko ?

After an horrible 2010 season where he lost all his titles, he started 2011 with a loss in 1rst round of AO and is now out of top 3O (34 I guess).
He damaged his body with intensive pace. He played every weeks during several years . He was known as the player who played the most in a year.
After various injuries, his body seems to say "Stop, I can't get enough"
Do you think he can come back in top 10 or even top 20 ?
Do you think he still can win another titles ?
Do you think he still can beat some top 10 players ?
Or is it over and done for Kolay ?

No, baldy is done for good. He is a joke of a player these days.

Nah. He had a blip in Melbourne, but he'll be at the top for another couple of years at least.

Over for what? He has always choked in majors, never beat a real top player in a Slam. Other than that he got a chance to win minor tourneys.

Certainly not. The guy goes up and down all the time.

What do you mean over? He won't win a slam so to me it's all over for him.

He'll never win a slam I think, and even winning masters series are pretty doubtful. He may win 500 or 250 tournaments.

He can beat anyone still, even Fed if he's really on.

Even though he isn't playing as well as he was last year, he can still make the Nadaltards squirm so it's not all bad.

Davydenko has never been a factor in majors; that has never changed. He'll do his usual of winning small tournaments to pad his ranking.

Over? It was never on as far as winning majors but yes his best days are over for sure.

Negative,,he only needs a match against the world #1 to get his confidence back.

Small tournaments like Miami and the World Tour Finals.

at least he won a title this year  some people ranked higher than him (for example Gasquet, Lopez) did not.

Davy's not had good results but I don't think it's over yet.
Usually it's movement that is a sign of decline, it's so important.

I've seen some of his last few matches and he moved like he always does.
As long as the movement is still there he can fine tune his strokes and there's been plenty of times his accuracy has dropped quite a bit in past years.
It seemed like his best was in the past then.

I hope I'm right about this, it's just so surprising to see someone like Davy bring the big guns down now and then with some great tennis.

He can always play challengers. Much easier to fix matches there without drawing attention to yourself.

True the GrandSlamLess Davydonkey couldn't even make a Final much less win one. Another journeyman retires and no one sane will care.

Agreed. Once in a blue moon he showed something big.. That one year at the Australian vs. Fed blowing Fed off the court for a set or two.. Then I don't know where the hell his head went

He is a born loser. As simple as that. Players like him cant be counted on, when an improtant GS match is on the line.

not winning a grand slam doesnt mean you did nothing with your career, davy had a good one and it will be sad when he's gone.

all those years around the top 10, remarkable consistency in winning titles every year. No doubt the grand slams mean the most to the players but im sure every title means something to them, they arent like the posters around here who regard everything but the grand slams as meaningless.
