BNP Paribas Open Adds Senior Cup, Expands Pre-Qualifying and the Tri-Level Returns for the Fifth Year:

In addition, the tournament has expanded the BNP Paribas Open Pre-Qualifier to a 64 player men’s and women’s draw, which will be held from March 2-6, 2011. Previously the event was a four player men’s and women’s draw with an expanded challenge round held in February. The event awards one men’s and one women’s qualifying draw wildcard to the winners of the Pre-Qualifier.

Location: Indian Wells Tennis Garden

The BNP Paribas Open Prequalifier is designed to provide interested men and women tennis players the opportunity to earn a spot in the BNP Paribas Open Qualifying event. A description of the event format follows:

Format: First round through quarterfinal matches will be the best of three sets with a 10-point Match Tiebreak being played for the 3rd set.
Semifinal and final matches will be the best of three sets.

Champions will advance to the BNP Paribas Open Qualifying event to be held March 7–9, 2011

Entry deadline: Friday, February 25
