Will Murray destroy Nadal's mini slam dream?

I think he's got a pretty good shot but still there's a long way to go for both men.

Rafa has to beat Cilic and Murray beat Melzer and then win in ther QF matches of course. I think they will. In the eventual Rafa-Murray match-up, i give them 50-50 odds. If they go to a fifth set Nadull has the edge, though.

Well, everybody should vote 'don't know',right? Unless some of you have a crystal ball at home. But I'm beginning to feel a bit worried that he might.

Murray will need to get through most likely Soderling which is a big task. I think both Murray and Soderling have a shot (not sure how big of one) to beat Nadal. I wonder if Nadal has a preference who he would rather play. Soderling is playing some nasty tennis right now too.

Fedtards all in glee with the thought Rafa may have mono...

Any information to support this claim.

Rod Laver said it would be a "mini" slam, so it's a mini slam. Who are you to doubt Rod Laver? :p

Murray can beat Nadal if they meet, if it goes 5 then Nadal has even less chance.
Remember last year, not much has changed.

I just can't see Murray beating him right now.

Murray looks and sounds like a boat adrift.

For sure. No way Rafa wins this with mono. NID.

I think Murray is playing well right now. He has a shot at it. Nadal still the favorite.

I think he will, Murray is very hard for Rafa on hard court, alos if Nadal is still not recovered from the virus I dont think he stands a chance.

Murray can yes. my only concern is that he faces SodaPop in the QF and they have a long 5-setter and the winner comes out flat in the Semi's

I don't think Murray will, but I also don't think Rafa will win this four Grand Slam titles in a row. There should have been an option "someone else will do the job" :)

I am going to call it a "Serena Slam". :)~

What is this? It's way too early for a WWW-thread.

Why do people feel Soderling is a lock for beating Murray should they meet in the QF? I seem to remember Murray taking
Soderling to school at WTF exposing the Swede with his lack of movement around the court and his net play was shocking.

Murray in this form playing a 90% Nadal would be the likely AO finalist than vice versa.

Murray playing a 100% Nadal on hard should be the favourite. Losing by a nut hair at the WTF shouldn't change that.

I'm just as concerned about Soderling, though. He's playing well and could very well beat Murray.

Soderling was on a roll at Roland Garros and Wimbledon, and Rafa still beat him in both, so I don't trust anything Soderling does. Rafa has him worked out, he's in Soderling's head, Rafa knows how to draw Soderling into error.

1st Nadal's ilness is his biggest enemy at this point. He might lose to Cilic or Ferrer.
2nd It's not a mini Slam. Mini Slams are the tourneys Davydenko wins :)
3rd He won the Career Grand Slam already. He's not dreaming about winning 4 in a row, that's media hype.

Murray has a better chance than Soderling.
Even if Nadal beats either one then he has Fed in the final.
Maybe next year.

what sort of thread is this...?

Of course...!! The Tradesman is a multiskilled trader... Andy moonlights as a butcher... he gonna put Nadal's knee's in the meat grinder...

If people thought he sweated vs Tomic, then he gonna need to bring a mop n bucket in the semi... sick boy just got sicker...

I don't know and I don't care.
SF Murray/Soderling - F Djokovic/Federer is very difficult for Nadal in non-clay.

as much as i admire murrays competative nature, i just dont trust him in slams anymore.

I fully expect soderling to beat muzza. If he does not, however, murray will take out nadal. Nadal does not seem to bother murray whatsoever in hardcourt slams..

I think it's more likely that Soderling will take out both Murray and Nadal. Would love to see Murray get through to the final but I'll be kind of surprised if he does.
