Who are the top 3 most exciting/thrilling players to watch of all time?

When i say "exciting" i do not mean on court theatrics or personality. Exciting as in whose game is the funnest, most exciting to watch.

Safin, Federer and to be honest, Ferrer. His game isn't pretty or flashy, but I love to watch him and he's never lost when I've seen him live.

Nadal, I could watch that forehand all day.
Henman, sometimes it was pretty much suicide when he rushed to the net, but you have to admit, it was nice to watch.
Nalbandian, on a good day that is. Lovely shot making ability and you just know you're in for at least 3 hours of drama.

Also, the Roddick serve deserves a mention, it's a thing of beauty and the main reason why I became a fan. Too bad the rest of his game is nowhere near good enough to deserve a place in the top 3.

When he's in form, defending amazingly and also being aggressive ande volleying, he is a joy to watch (against Nadull at the US Open is a good example of this, though he can do much better than that).

Seeing as i have only been watching tennis properly for about 5 years, i am obviously going to choose this current era. I do have massive respect for the excitement all previous eras have shown us.

Nalbandian - when he's on he is just amazing.

Federer - nothing needs to be said here.

Safin - never knew what you were gonna get and i loved that.

Federer, Nadal, (These two are what saved tennis from becoming an average sport, after Agassi/Sampras era it looked as if it could have possibly died).

They both took tennis to a completely different level. They make Sampras/Agassi look 1 dimensional.

The third player I'm going to pick out is probably Andre Agassi. Given that I'm Iranian, I think its interesting that his father represented Iran at one point in his life.

Agassi is also probably the most exciting base player to ever watch. He's incredibly fundamental. I could only wonder how he would have been if he was more flexible like Federer/Nadal.

I'm wondering if in the future there will be a player that will be par with Federer/Nadal. There's definitely some hope out there.

Hewitt, Federer, Tsonga.

Hewitt because he has so energy and guts.
Federer cause his game-style is excelent, just peRFect.
Tsonga is magic on court, he could beat any top player if he's in his best form.

Top three most exiting (for different reasons):

- Bjorn Borg = coolest tennis player of all time

- Fed = the Jordan/Senna/Maradona of tennis

- Nadal = for his athleticism (but here I'm NOT referring to the current cold-and-calculating prime Nadal (from 2010-) but the Nadal of two years back and before (the one in capri pants who was chasing all balls many of which should have been dead sure winners under any other circumstance)

Also knew a thing or two about point construction (guess you meant from the baseline)... When you can beat claycourters on clay or finish off Agassi with a mere crosscourt backhand after a 20-stroke rally... you must be doing something right...

Roddick's forehand 2003-2005 was my fav forehand to watch (yes, i enjoyed watching him let rip more than even the legandary liquid whip federer forehand)

why?

because it just felt so heavy, powerful.

Roddick's game is very limited, but not because of the reason many assume- i'd argue it was always his lack of movement (compared to fed & nadal) that stopped him from being a more dominant force

remember, he's been in 5 grand slam finals

thats more than murray djokovic and delpotro

gonzalez's forehand was probably stronger, but roddicks i preferred

just like couriers forehand was much stronger than sampras's but i preferred pete's

1. Rafael Nadal - for his amazing tennis abilities

2. Rafael Nadal - for his fighting spirit and passion on court

3. Rafael Nadal - for his indomitable mental strenth and just about everything he does

Other players such as Federer, Murray, Djokovic and Nalbandian are extremely talented and excellent players but I just don't get that visceral excitement watching them as i do Nadal.

Rafa puts it all out there on the court and really pulls you into the match with him.

actually they made tennis boring,i love rivary's but they just win too much
even samprass and agassi lost at some point to guys like rafter,Chang, moya, becker.Kučera plus others but those 2 just dont lose

tennis was great from 2000-2003 probley one of my fave era's cause there was no clear no 1 and anyone could win it and thats the way it should be
