They have only played once before; Rome 2008 quarter-finals and Djokovic won 6-1 1-0 ret.

At Roland Garros this might be more interesting, but here Djokovic wins in three I think.

I'll say Djokovic wins, but it is hard to say with 100% confidence because he was playing an injured Troicki today and for such a short amount of time. I can't get a good feel on how he is playing right now and there is no history here. I still say Nole will win, but I'm semi-bias being a fan and all.

Sadly Djokovic.

Overwhelming advantage for the Djoker. Given that Almagro is a hard worker, (except when he chokes against Nadal), I believe he will push Djokovic a bit, and Djokovic will come out on top in 4 comfortable sets.

Could be a relatively hard one for Novak,Almagro has been playing well for a while now and while Novak will have plenty in the tank(given that he barely played against Viktor)he also hasn't been really tested which could put him in some trouble here, sometimes it helps to be match tough.

Overall I hope to see Novak's serve pick up cause if it remains so vulnerable that top players can sink his teeth into almost every service game he plays I don't see him winning the title here.He can't win solely from the baseline against the likes of Nadal and Murray(the most likely F opponents if he gets there),he can still grind down Fed given the surface and Fed's age but those guys can run and hit with him all day.

Probably depends on whether this match will be during the day session or night session. Wetter.com says it's gonna be around 32 degrees out there on Sunday during the day (felt like 35 degrees!!!) and we all know Nole's issues with the heat.
Day session: Nole in 5
Night session: Nole comfortable in 3 / 4 sets

I think he improved a bit his serving during this AO , let's hope for the best.

I've grown to like both players. I want Nole to win simply because I want a Fedal vs Nolandy semi. Nole wins a hard fought 4 setter.

Almagro could win this if he plays well.
Djokovic is not a top 5 player.
That said, Djokovic will probably win.

it is funny you mention the top 5 not top 4

Rankings don't lie besides he has won agrand slam ;)

Why is it funny?

Yeah, he won a fluke grand slam against Tsonga who sucked in the last 3 sets.
He has played around 4 top 10 players in his last 4 slams (?) and when he does face a hard opponent he loses (Melzer, Tsonga, Berdych).
Rankings lie in this example, because he has literally done nothing to get his ranking, he's just beaten mugs chokers and gotten cakewalk draws in every tournament he plays, and he still hardly wins any titles

I think can't be Top 5 with only luck. I mean all top 5 players is very good without luck too.

Murray didn't lose to Roddick or Verdasco at the US Open :spit:
My God, get your facts right :haha: :haha:
Murray loses because he gets harder opponents.
Don't forget, Murray didn't lose to Kohlschreiber in a slam :haha:
And he also hasn't lost to Melzer in a slam after being 2 sets up :haha:

I have no idea how that guy got Roddick and Verdasco :haha:
They didn't play against him in the US Open at all, ever :haha:

Cilic: was playing his best tennis while Murray was rubbish, hence the embarrassing scoreline.
Wawrinka: Was playing his best tennis while Murray was nothing special (not as bad as against Cilic, though).
