Great tournament, many good matches to happen already in the earlier rounds, such as Begemann-Clezar, Hocevar-Ghem and Lopes-Demoliner.

Let's see how Camilo reacts after his amazing week in São Paulo, Begemann or Clezar should already be tricky in the QF if he wins his first two matches.

Andre Begemann (GER) def Rafael Camilo (BRA) 75 76(2)
Tiago Slonik (BRA) def Gabriel Dias (BRA) 61 46 64

Too bad Camilo lost, but he will have those losses now and then in the journey to a better place in the ranking. Hopefully by the end of this series of futures he will be defeating those guys and winning at least one tournament.

As for Begemann he is doing very well, still unbeaten in this series of tournaments in the Northeast. It's also great that a good player like him with a style of play the young Brazilians aren't used to deal with (serve-and-volley) is here, it's a good experience for then.

Congrats for Slonik on making the semis as well.

Caio, only because Rafa now reached a Challenger final, he has to win every match on Futures level? He played 11 matches in 12 days. On the "free" day he travelled. In the final result Rafa again won points for his Ranking, which means this tournament was successful for him. Now he has a few days off to recharge, and he needs it.

No, not at all. When I write too bad I mean I feel bad as he didn't go further. I sure know it won't be like that and certainly don't expect it. Just a bad choice of words ;)

Begemann on fire here, 10th straight win and he gets another title. 6-4 6-2 over Christian, impressive.

Some serve-and-volley presented to Brazilian fans, too bad he didn't play the São Paulo challenger.

This was a great tournament for a Future with great players taking place. It was not a bad week for Lindell considering that Begemann is a more experienced player. It was a a good week for Brazilians overall.

Camilo has a lot to learn yet and that would be a good idea if he can play on Future tournaments as much as possible
