WC could be Mannarino ? Paire ? Clément (if able to play)

Mannarino makes the us tourney and will play memphis this week and Paire plays a challenger so they are not names for WC. Mahut asked for one he said it before playing Courmayeur so maybe he will get one. Then for the frenchies you still have the veterans Clement and Mathieu but both are injured but could be back. Gasquet is injured and should be back only for Dubai. One for a foreigner maybe

I don't think Gasquet will ask for a WC, it's rest time for him for 2 weeks.

Mahut surely will get a WC after last week's win.
But for the other two it will be a question mark. Maybe a last-minute top player, or Clement, although he doesn't really deserve one.
Paire can get one too, he will pull out of the challenger then. No problem.
But also maybe Millot, Ouanna, Gicquel.

Paire would deserve a WC for his win over Simon in Rotterdam

The tournament director recently said that Clement had always been faithful to the tournament in older years.

Then considering Paire and Mannarino can't get one, I guess Clement can get it if he's fit.

Wild cards are likely to go to Clement (a lock virtually), Mahut (the other French player with ability to do well in here, as Rufin is still injured - QF last season, he's out due to hip surgery) and then the typical International attraction (Murray?), a youngster like Dimitrov or another French like Roger-Vasselin.

according this french media Dimitov gets the first WC http://www.20minutes.fr/article/667688/marseille-une-wild-card-clementthinsp , the second will be choosen by FFT and the last will be kept in case of injury of a big name until the last minute.

@smucav I assume you don't have the Doubles List ?

I guess Simon and one other withdrew.

De Bakker and Chardy also OUT, Clement and Marchenko are IN. So no WC needed for Arnaud.

I saw Granollers practising yesterday in Rotterdam and he stopped after 5 minutes and didn't walk fluently. So I saw this withdrawal coming.

second WC is for Mahut :) The last one could finally go to Paire if the director of Meknes is OK  I didn' know this rule I though there was no way to enter a tournament and play another. http://www.rmc.fr/editorial/147722/clement-et-mahut-dans-le-tableau-a-marseille/

Yes. Paire got a wild card...so the rule book has been thrown out of the window? The two exceptions to the rule are 1) a player can withdraw from an entry list to play Davis Cup (but can't earn any points for Davis Cup if applicable) and 2) a player can withdraw from one entry list and play in another tournament with the permission of the ATP. This exception usually only applies when a force majeure or other unexpected event (political unrest, airline strikes, etc.) forces the cancellation of an event or makes it difficult or dangerous for some or all players to get there in a timely manner. It extremely unusual for the ATP to give permission for a player to withdraw from an entry list & play another tournament in the same week simply because he got a better offer because that's exactly what the rule is intended to prevent in the first place. I only recall it happening one other time in the last seven years or so.

I can't imagine he argued gthat there was a risk for a revolution in Morocco like in Tunisia and Egypt
