Are you going to make me post a pic again? Why don;t you look for it on the misfit thread I think ? Page 289 ( I remember that because it was my house # as a child) Why do you feel the need to see who I am? :p

I meant to look for it last time but im pretty lazy :p

I shall look now and its not a need to see who you are, I thought I was gonna get to see your butt

Hardly the same thing but I get the same remark with Cordy during all of her vet visits. I feed her whats she supposed to eat, she's healthy. Doctors and vets.... creating worries when theres no need.

The problem is the doctor precribes him with medication that has the side effect of suppressing his appetitte so unless little Lee gains some weight, his doctor gets a bit reluctant towards that.

Yup I watched most of it on the feed :) He played MUCH better today than yesterday, but unfortunately not good enough. Well he DID play good enough... just bad luck in the end. He hits excellent cross court passing shots. That is my official favorite shot of his. He hit some good volleys today too. He should really serve/volley more, both yesterday and today I believe he had a high success rate when he tried that option.

If I may...

You are aware then that you are overreacting and being silly if you say 'what other people are being silly or overreacting'. First you say you're leaving MTF, then say you're just gonna be on Novak's forum, then say you're gonna be on Novak's forum AND the scoring threads, now you come back to NT and post here except this thread yet obviously keep track of what it's being said because you respond whenever they talk about you, etc. What's the point if you do that? You were overreacting.

Actually I said all along I was only going to stay in Novak's forum because I have responsibilities I need to keep up with there. I actually said I was going to leave the scoring threads, but I didn't expect Novak to win, so I stayed there to follow his match. I came back to this thread because Isa posted a link to flmmkrz saying that I should and since then I've kept up with it. Just because I say I'm not going to post somewhere doesn't mean I can't READ it... and when I see people talking about me, why wouldn't I respond.

I know she was talking about me, I want to know who else she claims is being silly and overreacting if it wasn't directed at me. I know you guys may think I'm overreacting, but I want to know why it's everyone's business where I post or do not post? Last time I checked that was only mine.

You of all people I wouldn't expect to understand this since I tried for hours to explain my feelings on leaving this thread to you and you flat out did not understand.

Well, if you were going to leave this thread so you wouldn't feel trashed and insulted by flmmkrz, I supposed you were completely leaving it, as in, not reading it at all because you know how reading posts trashing you still makes you feel bad, even if you don't post in the thread. And I've seen you posting something days ago and it didn't exactly include your name, which I have nothing against, it's good but means you were still reading the thread then. Although don't get me wrong, it's not like I think it's wrong or whatever, I just say it doesn't make much sense to me taking into account what your justification for leaving the thread was.

Believe it or not Jess, people do care about you and sometimes the presence of someone you care about matters. So you ever thought about people caring about you and wanting you to stay before getting mad for complaining you were leaving?

I understood why you wanted to leave, but it just didn't make sense to me and thought you could have handled it in other ways other than just leaving the thread you so much cared about (apparently), and I tried to make you realise that but you were to wrapped up in your own thoughts.

But hey, we're not Adam. Therefore you may be right, there is no reason for you to stay in the thread. At least for you.

If I were honestly leaving this thread because Adam were no longer here, wouldn't I have done it a week ago, when he left instead of a week later? No instead I stayed here and chatted about college basketball and my random bruises to anyone who even remotely listened.

The part I really don't understand, and the part that you never quite understood in our other conversations is that I don't understand why (since I'm not leaving MTF all together) people couldn't talk to me in other threads. When I PM-ed Isa to say good bye I told her "Some people seem to think it's too much trouble to talk to me in other threads, but I will still be around elsewhere, just not in Adam's thread." and she said "Okay, I'll see you elsewhere" or something in that sense. Mandoura came into me and Randy's thread to talk to me.

It's only you that seems that you can only talk to me in this thread and nowhere else.

Did I mainly come to this thread to talk to Adam when he was here? Of course. It was HIS chat thread, it was where he was the most. I would hope that if people ever wanted to talk to me they would come to mine. When people want to talk to Brian, they go to his chat thread. If you had a chat thread and people wanted to talk to you, they would go to yours. That's generally how these things work. Since many of the posters who post in this thread, I do chat to in other threads, or on MSN, I did not think not posting here would be the end of the world to anyone.

Apparently it is.

Last time we talked you were leaving NT and everything but Novak's forum. You changed your mind apparently because you started posting back on NT and sure I could've gone there to talk to you but things didn't end up that well as far as I remember.

Now, I'm not a big fan of Novak so I'd have felt pretty out of place if I had gone there.

If you would have been happier with me saying "Thank fuck Jess left the goddamn thread!" you could've told me, I'd have done it. But unlike it, I cared about you and really wanted you to stay since it was where we usually talked and I didn't want flmmkrz taking the better of you, if you get what I mean.

If you're going to try to cover your tracks, come up with a better lie.

Not that I care, you're entitled to your opinion, but I don't see why it matters to everyone what threads I do or do not post in. I can post where I choose and when I choose and as often as I choose, imagine that.

Speaking of the past 2 and a half months I've been reading this thread, lots of us (yes even ME) have been silly and overreacting at various times about various things. For example, I think it's a bit silly for Billy to leave the thread since I really haven't seen him around in any of the other threads I read.

 I fail to see what exactly I lied about. Everything I've ever posted has been true as I far as I know.

And I beg to differ about you being calm. It appears you can't understand the concept of discussing the thread as a whole and think any remarks about it apply solely to you. We all have our opinions and that's mine.

Well I was unaware you didn't get along with people on Novak's board. I will never ask that of you or anyone else again.

It's nice that you all cared and wanted me to stay, I do appreciate it, but you in particular got SO angry with me that I didn't want to. I still don't want to and I'm still not going to and it has nothing to do with you or with Adam or with anyone. I'm doing it for myself, for my own sanity. Billy doesn't need to leave the thread. No one needs to leave the thread, I don't have control over other people. All I can control is myself, and that is what I was trying to do by taking a break from this thread.

I'm not acting the victim on this, you don't NEED to go visit me in another thread, I don't care if you don't. I would probably seek you all out in other places to continue chatting. Yes, I left this one, but if you all really wanted to talk to me so bad, there are other ways besides me staying in a thread that I don't want to stay in, and at this point I definitely have no desire to come back to. It's not like by me leaving this thread that I would never talk to any of you again... I didn't realize it meant a complete end to communication.

I didn't realize it would cause such a commotion when to me it wasn't that big of a deal because I just assumed (incorrectly I guess) that I would still talk to everyone elsewhere.

And now since it bothers people that I do so, I'm done responding.

Thanks so much GWH. I know it is hard to find anything because I tried really hard to find any information on the net to no avail.

It is all mixed up. Even the guys at the federation don't understand the new rules. The guy who suggested the new ranking system is always unavailable for comments/questions.

Basically, it is going to be one ranking, from men to under 14. They are changing the rules on the weight of each tournament to reflect its actual strength according to who is playing, which is fair I suppose.

The real problem is in the ranking itself. No one has any concrete idea how it's going to work or based on.

Thanks again GWH. :wavey:

I'm not sure if we ever had a nice bond at this point. These people are believing what they want to believe before I even got the chance to explain myself. Caro had it in her head on MSN that I was leaving this thread for several reasons a) that Adam no longer posts here and b) that I don't care about anyone in this thread. As much as I tried to convince her otherwise she just wouldn't listen to me and still refuses to listen to me because she has it set in her mind that I am doing this to wrong her and everyone else somehow. I rarely put myself first, I am not that kind of person. I do anything for everyone, and now the first time I do something that will make ME happy, I hear that all my friends are mad about this and would rather me be unhappy. Well mission accomplished guys, I am unhappy. Thanks.

It's funny. I attempted to leave this thread to prevent getting involved in Internet drama and everyone just created MORE of it for me so that it's getting so ridiculous I don't know HOW to avoid it.

That is the reason I left, I thought I said it clearly about a billion times... I did not want to have petty fights on the Internet anymore because it is just the Internet, and I come on the Internet to relax, not to get riled up...so I was leaving this thread to avoid that. It didn't really do me any good.

Of course I cared about Isa and Caro. I thought they would be more supportive of me taking this step to get rid of drama in my life more than they have been that's all.

Why don't you try quoting the whole thing next time. What I actually said was:

Meaning that if you didn't come to me, I would have come to you somewhere else to chat.

And you complain about people twisting your words around?

I never complained about people twisting my words but of people putting words in my mouth I never even said.

I didn't quote the whole thing because that's the only thing I needed to make a point of. That's all.

I'm seriously not gonna respond to the other post, I really don't need to make my point once AGAIN.

And stop acting as a victim for god's sake, it's getting annoying.

And the funny thing is that you don't even stick to your words. You said you were leaving yet you come back and read, it's like, the friggin same thing!

I'm not sure if we ever had a nice bond at this point. These people are believing what they want to believe before I even got the chance to explain myself.

I'm sorry you're unhappy Jess. I think most of us who post here are unhappy about Adam taking a leave from MTF but understood he needs to concentrate on his studies in order to graduate. I for one am a bit confused if this hostility with Billy has been longstanding and was going on during the time Adam was still posting, why you feel only now you should leave this thread.

I am trying to be supportive of you but it is getting difficult considering you dismissed every bit of information/advice I gave to you on MSN and then didn't even say bye or anything before going!

It's not my aim to get into fights with people here either and my reply to Mae's post was not meant in anyway to start one with you even though apparently that was what resulted.

I just don't see how 2 people (you and Billy) leaving the thread is the appropriate response. You two are both adults and should at least come to some sort of peace accord like not replying to each other's posts or something like that.

But if leaving the thread for good is your final decision I'll support it.

I think it's hilarious you all think this has something to do with Adam. It doesn't.

Anyway, why now? Well, everyone has a breaking point. This last bout of it was mine. The first time, second time, third time, fourth time, I could tolerate it. The last time which happened to take place after Adam left, it broke. There's only so much someone can take and I reached my limit. That's all.

And while I'm sure there are situations that could be met such as "not responding to eachother" etc... that's so much easier said than done. No one's speech should be censored or limited. He has a right to say whatever he chooses, and I have a right not to be around to listen to it, is the way I view things. That's all it comes down to for me and that is the complete reason I am leaving. He knows he pushes my buttons and he's known that for a while.. I just don't want to get in any more meaningless arguments anymore. Like I've said.. I reached my breaking point the other day.

The reason I am unhappy is clearly because at this point I'm pretty sure Caro and I aren't even friends anymore, again, has nothing to do with Adam. Adam's been gone a while now, it's not worth being sad over. I don't think I've mentioned him much since he left that would make you think that.

As for signing off without saying goodbye.. sometimes my Internet has problems and does that to me.. it has nothing to do with you, simply has to do with relying upon Syracuse University for Internet service. Sorry.

I almost left right before Adam left too... but that wasn't made as public as this decision. Clearly making this decision public was the wrong way to go.

Yes it is a coincidence, but that's all it is. I don't really like being accused of otherwise when it's flat out not true.

If I really just didn't want to post in here just because Adam wasn't here, why would I have wasted the last week babbling in here about Syracuse basketball and mysterious bruises.

I dont know, I mean, I'm sure I'll get over it in a while and we'll get along again then, but right now it would be impossible since we are both mad in some ways.

I guess I just react to these people that bash me in other ways. You think I would leave NT just because disturb3d keeps calling me fat or implies that all the time? No way. I won't stop doing something I really like doing or stop talking to lots of my friends here (which is way different than chatting on MSN) because some asshole decides insulting me is fun. Go ahead, do it, it doesn't affect me since he doesn't know me at all and I am not affected by comments made by people that don't know me. This discussion affects me more than all the posts he made combined, just because this comes from a friend and not from some random guy who has nothing better to do than annoy people, even though we're not insulting each other in any way.

I tend to get into fights a lot, and I'm stubborn therefore it doesn't help much... but I won't let a single fight end a friendship. I guess we just both need, or at least I need, some time to calm down and let the thought of 'this fight is pointless' sink in.

I don't know, that's all I have to say I suppose...

I don't know, that's all I have to say I suppose...

I think the part that is harder for me in this situation than for you in yours... clearly your situation is tough.. it sucks to have someone constantly saying crap about you... but in your situation if you go to a friend and say "Disturb3d is being an ass" anyone on these message boards would go "He really is. I don't like him. He should be banned." I mean, I don't know of anyone who truly honestly likes disturb3d.

For me, everyone else in this thread truly does like him. I'm alone in this. Everyone else is his friend, so I don't have that friend support that I'm sure you had with disturb3d.

And I agree. This entire fight is worse than any of the shit flmmkrz has ever said to get a rise out of me. No matter how much I dislike him, I dislike having this argument far far more.

The fact that you guys argued with me though just really enhanced that I am alone in this opinion and I ended up feeling even more alone than ever, which is why I got super defensive and "played the victim" as you would say. If you ask anyone on these message boards who the top three MTF posters were that I disliked, he would have topped it long before this week... I guess not enough people knew that to understand where I was coming from at this point.

Anyway, now that I've responded to both of you, I think that's all I have left to say.

Carito_90
02-25-2006, 09:00 PM
That's okay then. But I do have people that think disturb3d is amusing anyway. Sure, they back me up whenever they see he's bashing me but they still think that about him.

But it's not the same as being friends with him, I suppose.

Anyway, we should take our time to cool off. Sometimes when you're mad/annoyed you say things you don't really mean.

If Adam were here (and thank God he's not ;) ) this thread would be as busy as a bees' hive. :D

Anyway, congratulations Rafa and better luck next time Rogelio. :)

Great.

And how is your store? Doing well?

Nothing much here either. My son's new tennis season has started. There is a new system for tourneys that no one seems to understand even the guys at the Federation .

I've just had a very pleasant week with my old girlfriends from uni. We went out for lunch twice and we were hit on by young guys, all of us 46 yo gorgeous women ;) . It was great.

hit on by younger boys? so what you are saying is that you still have that pizzaz? :p

store is not really doing as well as I had hoped, in fact I am seriously considering giving up on that venture, but i will tell you about that some other time

so given your son has started again, does that mean you are going to have to travel a lot?

It seems yes, Prabu, we still have something. But to tell you the truth, although it made me feel good, I am kind of a "strict" girl. I accept the compliment but doesn't like it if it crosses a certain limit. After all, we are maried ladies.

Sorry to hear about the store. If it is doesn't cover its expenses, it is better to give it up even at a minor loss.

No I won't have to travel. We only travel during the summer, from June till August. For now and during the scholar year, all tourneys are in Cairo. He enters 2 events, U16 & U18. He chooses 1 doubles tourney in either event. So we have a busy tennis schedule.

Greetings Prabu and Mandou.

Interesting convo at the moment. So Mandou you are not sure about your sons tennis future and this age is very important for development.

BG, so good luck with the decision with that venture, just think it through clearly.

Yes, the real business for me gets under way on Tuesday after O week. Just have to find the right time management for me.

I am letting my male bretheren at the moment. I am multitasking, writing an email, listening to tunes, trying to translate some articles about Borg and no he isn't broke. He has bought a place in Dubai.

Super 14 has started and my team is doing alright, but that won't last.

:wavey: GWH.

Yes, Mostafa is 14 and a half now, time to take some decisions. He is a decent player but lacks mental toughness. It costs him a lot. His father wants him to finish his studies. For me, if he shows any sign he could be a promissing international prospect and chooses to postpone his studies, I will back his decision. But he still has a long way to go and too little time.

Bjorg into Dubai property? No wonder he was there yesterday watching the final.

You are going to have to tell me who you support in the super 14. Got to love O week, just another excuse for a drinking binge before you supposedly start studying.

Björn has bought one of that those fabulous rich places, so not bad for a broke guy. As for who I support BG it's the Highlanders mate and that's O week is about.

Well mental toughness there are certain ways to get over that, but sometimes the old methods work very well. Though he should some mind exercises, control the mind, then the body will follow.

I even had problems to deal with players of an U16 tourney.
Dunno how strong the field is but a 14 years old guy in a U18 is a bit too difficult imo. :wavey:

Is that you Loro?

He just started U18 this year (2 tourneys). He gets out of the qualies (3 matches) but is yet to win a match in the main draw. :)

He ended last year ranked 20 U14 and 38 U16. At the beginning of the year with players born in 1989 out of the U16 ranks, his rank U16 jumped to 22.

He's well built for his age due to 3 years in the swimming team. Physically, he has everything to make him a very promissing prospect and he's got the game for it: a killer serve, a killer firehand, excellent volley, a good backhand (still not a weapon after he switched to a single-handed but improving), great angles, great tactics. He just is too weak mentally though: he chokes, he talks to himself too much on court, he gets irritated very fast (with the way he is playing if he thinks it's not up to standard he can produce), and he loses his concentration quite often over very trivial things.

Anyway, how are you? :D

Just talked to Adam on the phone and he was very happy about this result since he was there :) And I was like "WOOT I KNOW THE RESULT".

Anyway, Adam says hello to everyone :) And I think he said two more weeks until his glorious return. (He says I was doing well with the accent but erm, sometimes I was guessing :p)

He is rather pleased with Rafa and Murray at the moment and of course :fiery: at Roddick. We discussed Novak's current ranking and I told him Serbia was going to lose in Davis Cup.... and I honestly can't remember anything else that would be of importance to you all :) Soooooo that's your Adam update!

Tonight I went to the Oasis concert.

INFUCKINGCREDIBLE. :hearts:

It was just.... insane, I wanna go back damnit!

I was so tired by the time it began I barely had energy to stand up but as soon as it started... I just HAD to jump like a fucking rabbit!

The show was really good, they played songs I thought they wouldn't play, and played some of their classics, plus songs of the new album, obviously. The left out a LOT of amazing songs, but I guess they just couldn't sing ALL their songs right? :p

God, I just want to go back. :hearts:

Oasis wrote some good lyrics, but there are so many Beatles riffs a band can take. Have to admit that Supersonic gets quite a lot of airtime musically from myself.

Hello Joe, you still haven't commented on the blog :)

My music taste is very diverse depending on the mood. Basically I don't deal well with country and western, a lot of rap and this mass commercialised crap that is produced today.

Pretty much ranges through from Eurovision fodder to death metal. I can listen to Madness, then an hour later listen to some metal band, then a mellow folk band to a hardcore punk band.

Well obviously, Oasis sounding very similar to The Beatles is no mystery, they do, and they will since the last CD is nothing new really, except a few songs that are good and different.

But I still loved the show because I mean, I love the band and I had never been able to see them before, and besides they played lots of songs I never thought they would play yet I LOVE. So it was pretty good all in all. :)
