Players above the line are the guys, who would be seeded if the tournament would start next week. Really bad this list this year. No guys like Roddick, Isner, Kohlschreiber who were here last year(or at least entered in Isner's case). This list is real sh*t compared to last year's (http://www.menstennisforums.com/archive/index.php/t-155511.html).
There the "original seeding cut-off" was 27 (60 this year), and the original entry cut-off was 90.
I hope Haas plays here and for a 1st tourney after a long-term injury, he could even win 1 or 2 matches if he gets Hajek / Russell or a WC/Q.

Not a great list, but that is to be expected with Rotterdam and the clay tournament. Good opportunity for Nando here, the Americans Fish and Querrey, also Berankis should do well here.

Great chance for berankis to defend his points and even win some more
Hopefully karlovic and del potro can play good here

He'll play. According to Lleyton they are playing doubles together

I thought Hewitt wasn't concerned about the small tournaments anymore...

He means that he won't be playing a ton of 250's to get his ranking up. He'll be using such events as an opportunity to tune his game and prepare for slams.

He hasn't really for years. He's going to need to play a few of these sorts of events to get his ranking at a respectable level though. Hope he a good run either here or in Memphis.

I REALLY disagree with this. I think that this year's draw is better than last year's, and think that San Jose has done incredible all things considered. I'd be out there in a heartbeat if I could, as there could be some really interesting first round matchups. I'll take Delpo, Haas, and Raonic over Roddick, Isner, and Kohlschreiber all day long. In fact, I would even be willing to make a side bet that someone from this year's draw ascends to be #1 in the world sometime down the line.

Mardy Fish has pulled out of San Jose with the thyroid condition that affected him at the Australian Open.

He hopes to be back the following week at Memphis, said tournament organizers.

There are three people ahead of him on the entry list. Does that mean they didnt show up for qualies so he's the highest ALT??
