Yeah i was going through the rankings and saw this too! Great news for the Davis Cup team and he´s only 22 years old aswell. It has been talks about this for an long time, that he wants to play for Sweden, and finally the swedish tennis federation made an move. Can he enter the qualification in AO with this ranking?

Good luck to Nick, hopefully he goes well and sticks it up the tools currently overseeing development of mens tennis in Australia. Has alot of ability and potential.

I had to laugh last week in Bris when the commentators etc were discussing how Robin is the only one doing anything for Sweden.. and someone asked this aussie guy "do you know who the next ranked swedish player is?" and the answer was Nick @ 240... the guy was like "HUH? he plays for SWEDEN? he learnt how to play tennis in australia!!!"

Thanks to one of the posters in the Oi Oi Oi sub forum (Territory), Nick is playing an AMT (Australian Money Tournament) on the Sunshine Coast this weekend. He won his first round match and shouldn't have too many troubles winning this tournament and getting the $1,500 on offer for the winner. He is also entered for the mixed doubles.

Tough draw for Nick! Polansky can play some outstanding tennis,, but he can also fall through big time! A bit like the Aussie Open Q-draw when he faced Müller..

He has also withdrawn from Burnie challenger next week, so unfortunately the retirement must be some kind of injury.
