I love this list, I think it's amazing. So many of my favorites. Why did Richie come here and not Brisbane, he usually stays in Australia. But he makes the list better. The top three guys and Tipsarevic are clearly huge favorites to win this event.

Nice to see Rui and Fred in MD but if you remove the top 5 guys, this is a challenger.

But anyway, for the first time ever, 2 portuguese players in a MD ATP event, without a WC.:worship:

It's a list so, so weak.:) But it's ok because Dimi is in.:worship: I hope he will have some results in ATP next year.

It must be a very poor list when there is Dimitrov and Bolelli direct in.

Poor list, especially compared with the other two.

:)It's really great to see two portuguese players at an ATP main draw directly, without wildcards. Things are really settling at an upper level, and Jo‚o Sousa and Gast„o Elias will rise their level next season, I think.
I hope Gil performs as he did last time he began a season with Cunha e Silva (two years ago), with two consecutive semi-finals at tournaments with draws at about this level (one or two MTC top-twenties, and then all the way down to a lot of 100+).
I really didn't understand how Gil was refered at the portuguese press last week as beggining his season in Doha, didn't really see how, with his current rank... this is more like it!

If Grigor wins in Helsinki, he'll be 80-85th in ATP Rankings and he might even be seeded in Chennai! :)

CHARLOTTESVILLE -- Virginia senior tennis player Sanam Singh (Chandigarh, India) has received singles and doubles wild cards to the Aircel Chennai Open, which will be held January 3-9 at the SDAT Tennis Stadium. It is the second consecutive year that Singh has competed at the ATP Tour 250 level event.

Last year Singh teamed with Virginia alumnus Somdev Devvarman in doubles and reached the semifinals of the Chennai Open. Last month, the duo teamed to the win the gold medal at the Asian Games. Singh also competed in the singles qualifying draw at last year's tournament.

Going to check my flights for Chennai and Melbourne.....

Very strange that he didn't just apply for the EL...
