Well, given his Paris history, no
But it's a good bet

Pirata.

Roger can only gain points in Paris while Novak is defending a win. Nole might defend Paris, but I think he can only be #2 again if he wins WTF and Roger falls in the RR?

they both have 400 to defend at WTF according to ATP however its hows Noval as RR and Fed at Semi...are those points correct?

like pirates said. Novak has a win at Paris to defend, chances are Fed will gain at least a bit on last years results but it'll go down to WTF results. With 1300 points going to the winner Novak could still get to #2.

It's a lot easier to just look at the 'race' points:

1
Rafael Nadal
11,450
2
Roger Federer
7,285
3
Novak Djokovic
5,545

So Federer has a 1740 lead. As both Paris and the world tour finals are compulsory, both will count completely in their totals. The world tour finals are worth a maximum of 1500, so Federer just has to outdo Djokovic in Paris to have the year-end number two wrapped up. Worst case scenario (for Federer) is losing first round in Paris while Djokovic takes the title. But this will still leave him with a 750 point lead meaning that Djokovic will have to at least make the finals of the world tour finals.

Basically, Federer has it all but wrapped up now after his Basel win.

Pretty certain that Roger will be year end number 2, and Nole will be year end #3 for the fourth year in a row.

No! Paris is worth 1,000 and the WTF is worth 1,500. So Djokovic can make up 2,500 points should he win both. But it looks promising for Sir Rogi.

Seriously, you are one of the only clear thinking people on MTF.
