I hope he can slowly start picking up his old competitive form.

I love watching Monfils get his clock cleaned, especially by offensive baseliners. 53 minutes for Sod King to send the circus packing. :yeah:

What a total beatdown this was, great performance by Sod! But Monfils wasn't 100%, you could tell. Still very good from Robin, especially the 2nd set, great serving as well. Who can stop him here? Only Ferrer I think.

Solid stuff. Monfils lost the plot as he started to trail in the second set.

Just wasn't on today. First half set was okay, but after that he made many errors and let Soderling dominate.

Soderling-Ferrer should be intesting (proiding Ferrer makes it past Starace). The Swede is justifiably the favourite for the title.

This match was a combination of a flat Monfils and a good Soderling. Monfils looked like he wanted to rest up for Paris next week. Didn't have full commitment from when he got broken in the first set through the match. Soderling played well, though, served well and was allowed to play his aggressive game without any troubles. He moved Monfils out of position well with some good depth and angles and was able to finish off points with his big shots and some decent net game. We'll see if he can keep it up v Ferrer in what should be a great match.
