Basel QF: Djokovic dismisses Haase 6-2, 6-3

Djokovic comfortably in control for most of the match. Played a little loosely after earning his breaks. Haase broken mentally late in first, but came up with a few decent rallies. Lousy first serve % his greatest enemy.

Decent match and some clutch serving. Hope Nole can defend his title here.

Credit to Djokovic, it looked like it was gonna be a contest, judging by the first few games.

To Gulbis in Sydney. And to Murray a few times.

Murray's a week older. + Krajinović by retirement in Belgrade.

Murray is older than Novak. Seven days only but still ;).

Very comfortable match for Djokovic. Haase and Nole are similar players, but Nole is clearly the better one. Served well, moved well, came to the net effectively, was aggressive. Was a bit loose but that should improve with better focus against better challengers. Haase didn't serve well enough and made too many errors, most due to frustration with Nole's consistency and movement. He didn't develop points well enough and was too impatient.

Now a US Open rematch with his buddy Troicki in the SF. Should continue to win if he keeps playing well. Congrats to the #3 on the win today.
