Gilles leads the h2h 3-1 but i dont think that matters to much

gilles is in good form now but still has those matches that make you want to stop watching and davy still has yet to get any real form back consistently.

they both need this win really badly, gilles to try and get back to the top 50 by years end and davy just plainly to defend his points and for confidence.

This isn't a good match-up for Davydenko as the H2H shows. With that said, I think he'll win this match in 3 sets. The court is slow and if he can find a way to be at least a little more effective with his serve than today, he should be able to break Simon enough times to win.

i really like simon but i just feel a davydenko win here. I think it will go 3 and i give the small edge to davy here

if davy serves biggish which he sometimes does he wins easily

if he serves poorly its gonna be a mugathon
