Both top 10 (Berdych 6, Verdasco 7) and both are not even playing anywhere near top 50 tennis. :o

So who would win in a match now?

The 3rd option is the best one :)

I think this is exactly the match that the pair of them need. With expectations not running as high and no embarassment in losing to the other, that could give them the belief to go for their shots more. We all know they are both capable of playing fantastic tennis - it's just that they need to arrest this terrible run of form and put in a convincing performance.

it's the end of the season, they are just tired, get over it. Not everybody has Nadal's stamina.

I think, in this particular scenario, with regard to their current form there's an extraordinarily good chance that we might witness the historic event of both players losing the match.

Probably Verdasco. Berdych is just not on the court at this point. Fernando could win this simply because he'll gain confidence in knowing Berdych isn't going to do damage, and he won't be mentally fucked since he's playing someone so shoddy.

Which is why I laugh when some of the clowns here act like this is such a strong era. They both have a few good runs then play like absolute shit since the summer and they're still in the top ten. At least Robredo and Nalbandian grabbed some masters titles and Safin, Hewitt, Roddick & Ferrero have some slams.

And Robredo and Blake never even made slam SF. Those clowns don't belong in the same sentence as Berdych or Verdasco. Blake is a talentless ball basher. Him being #4 in the world is a further indication of a mug era.

The tennis world would implode in a world of suck, leaving Daniel Brands as World #1 by default.

Or they'd both find a way to retire at the same time.

Serious answer: Verdasco in three.

Davydenko would beat both in their current form.

This is the point. Only brainless Nadultards are trying to highly overrate this clownish era to legitimize questionable achievements of their idol.

Berdych won Paris a few years ago, no?
But I agree, the players you mentioned were all better than Berdych or Verdasco.

They are also better players in general regardless of their results :)

I hope they're both in the same group at WTF just for the comedy.
