Why can't it just end

It will take two wins and 3 extremely deep runs in events to save the season for Nico. Otherwise he can say goodbye to top 100 for a very extended period of time.

Does anyone have any positives to say about El Vampiro in these moments of darkness?

Yes, Facu is a good player, probably the next Schwank. He's only 20 so I expect good things from him going forward. Just sad it's at Nico's expense.

Massu is losing to everyone these days.

El Vampiro? :spit: If you didn't mention his name, I'd have thought Hanescu has doubled himslef and is playing a chalnnger as well.

As for positives in moments of darkness, still the best half-volleys on tour :hearts: He'll be back to top 100 next season for sure, or 'fur shoe' as Gasquet would say :p

Edit: I guess I missed who it is after all :o

This cost me a lot of money, but you're still awesome Nico!
Massu seemed to start well and had his chances to break. I didn't see the match but it looked as though Bagnis was getting a lot of joy and chances off of the Massu serve.

Massu still has health problems. He cannot train normally.

Mahut definitely has amazing half-volleys.

But no, this isn't Nico M, I would have put the usual Wimbledon title if it was. And hopefully he finishes in the top 100 with a big run in Paris next week.

I remember hearing something a while back. Do you know what the problem is?

He's been having adductor issues, and basically issues with the legs, foot issues, I think he's had back problems, pretty much his body is breaking down, which isn't a surprise given how much of a warrior he has been. I hope he pulls out great results these next weeks.

He should retire.

Watching him is just painful.

El Vampiro  :rolls:

Love the nickname, but it won't help him tenniswise. He's pretty much done I'm afraid.
Good carrer though. :worship:

Then he'd better take some rest and start 2011 fully fit.

I agree, but I'm guessing he's playing for the money now. But if he surprised me and did great these next events and got in the top 100, even though it won't happen, I would be like a kid at the candy store.

Yeah, he's taking the rest of the season off. Which sucks because top 100 chances are gone, but it's smart because he can recover physically now. He's at a crossroads in his career, he needs some good results early in 2011 to salvage his career. Hopefully he attempts to qualify in Australia.

Not a good result for Nico obviously but it's not surprising considering his form lately. Great result for Facu though. This should give him good confidence to go on.

If Nico has decided to end his season, that means that he will go down a fair bit in a couple of weeks as he was the defending champion at the challenger in Cancun in 2 weeks. It's not good for him but i guess he feels he can't give anymore this year.
