High number of aces for Soda, and he kept his unforced errors low. In other words, Robin's game was working smoothly.
Gimeno-Traver is next. Shouldn't be a problem if he plays like this.

Soderling just too dominant on serve. 14 aces, 93% first serve points won and 60% second serve points won tells the whole story. Winners to unforced errors ratio is very good too.

Here's hoping that he puts up a better showing than he did in Stockholm.

Montanes had his one break point in the match, in the final game. But outside of that small blip, the stats speak for themselves. Domination from serve, lots of winners, kept the errors down, whereas Montanes had a bit more errors than usual for him. Albert can usually give Robin some tough matches, but ultimately Robin's power is just too much for the Spaniard. If he continues in that form, he's going to be a terror for anyone to play.

Robin must be so happy Mugro is gone but offcourse tricky opponent in Traver and pressure as the favorite. Ryderstedt took out DGT in Sthlm so Robin better not do worse :)

As a sodering fan you should realise he is in terrible form. is a sahadow of the 2009 player that was so dangerous. He has no conviction, isnt nearly as clinical or clutch as he used to be etc. He is in a poor rut of form. Anyone who denies that isnt watching tennis or is just plain stupid.

The results are about the same too. He's won 1 title in each year (though reaching more finals this year). He's peaked at the slams but done nothing remarkable at the masters 1000s... exactly the same as last year.
Soderling of late 2009 was never "clinical" or "clutch". He lost to Lopez in shanghai and Djokovic in Paris. He qualified for the WTF because Roddick pulled out and there he played well. He beat Nadal and Nole in straights but then lost 2 close matches and was out of the tournament. Get a clue.
