WTF happened here? Chikhladze (world # 850) led 7-6(4) 3-1 and then retired?
Has this ever happened before retiring when you are 3 games away from winning this match?
Maybe he couldn't walk anymore.
Somebody know what happened?

sucks for chikhladze. maybe he got injured while performing one of his "special serves": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDRUFtdjTFI
I believe there was a match last year in one tournament´s Q when someone retired when he was serving for the match..also I remember match in WTA when Shaughnessy retired when leading 6-0, 1-0 or Groenefeld led 6-1, 4-2 and retired..in ATP I remember just this one I think it was one Asian tournament and some "local" boys played eachother

Chikhladze is enormous talent, been injured for a long time, only played in Davis Cup this year I think
Shame if he was injured again here

It was the score of match
[WC] M.BACHINGER (GER) & M.ZIMMERMANN (GER) vs [Alt] S.KADIR (AUS) & P.RAJA (IND) 6-3 3-6 10-7
instead early announced
[WC] Lado CHIKHLADZE (GEO) & Stefan KOUBEK (AUT) vs [WC] Matthias BACHINGER (GER) & Marcel ZIMMERMANN (GER)
The reason for Alt double input was CHIKHLADZE, Lado (right ankle)
