That's amazing how many match choked by PHM this year.

Nice Robin! 6 breaks in the deciding set. Was PHM in front in the decider?

he was never in front until the TB. Haase served for the match three times (5-2, 5-4 and 6-5), then Robin saved 4 mp in the tie-break (3-6 and 6-7) and won in his first mp

I agree. I'm also puzzled why it was. What's the cutoff, Haase is in top 70 now if I'm not mistaken.

Incredible.... :worship:
Haase choked much more than Mathieu this match, but he won..amazing...This is destiny favouring Mathieu as the uber choker! :)

Poor PHM, just a massive mental roadblock these days. Needs to win easily or no chance.

Of course he won more points...also better % of service and return points won...
When Paulo wins a three set match I'll open a f**king champagne, I swear.

Good news for the PHM fans:
PHM got in because Melzer and Ljubicic withdrew. He takes Ljubicic's position and he faces Mayer in 1st round. Karol Beck takes Melzer's position in the draw.

Well, a deserved LL position after such a fight. He will probably lose to Mayer, but at least he's in.

Maybe he'll do a Haider-Maurer. ;)

Once a useless choking clown....always a useless choking clown....

Retire, Mathieu...retire and save tennis from your choking, you choking clown.

good match, phm being a mnetal midget as usual though. Two big clean hitters slugging it out, good to watch. Haase is one to watch next year imo. Good for the game

PHM would have played Bohli had he won this match and likely won, getting back into the top 100. Now a much tougher match in F. Mayer, and fewer points if he wins. He's 28 years old and still cannot move past these mental demons. It's beyond pathetic, I don't feel sorry for him, I think he IS sorry. It's beyond time for him to get the fuck over himself and stop the doubt and get a backbone.

Haase himself has has choking issues several times lately, good win for him here coming back from the brink of defeat. And got a R1 victory, making this win even sweeter.
