Kuku was very good today, but poor from Tipsarevic. Gave away the first set with four errors at *5-6, fought back into the match, many bps, Kuku so strong on em, Tips finally breaks to lead *4-2 in third.

At this point he's not faced a bp since the first set, been cruising on serve. However he's screaming his head off in triumph at making the breakthrough, loses his concentration totally, and donates away the next 4 games for the match.

Mug - and doubly so given Marchenko is next in the semifinal.

Karma is a bitch, serves him right after selling the match with Zeballos last week.

Why again fixing Janko? :(

No signs of that at all today. Players lose, doesn't mean it was a fix.

Besides, nobody fixes in a quarterfinal, especially with an easy semi coming up.

Tipsa had 4-2 40-0 :(

What's with this guy? Every time the draw opens up he fails rock hard, and when you don't expect it, he pulls out the biggest wins...

Ugh :( Janko mostly outplayed the Russian, but he made errors at the worst times. Had a 4-2 lead in the third and tamely gave it away. Served so great in the second and until the business end of the third set too. Kuku, I have to say, played an OK match, was the more solid player, and hit some good winners and counterpunched/defended decently. He just hung in there, and then got stronger as Janko collapsed.

I can't believe I'm doing this, but PLEASE win over Marchenko, Kuku. Please, please win.

Amazing the way that Janko wasted such great chance to reach the finals here. Good week for Kuku reaching the semis and with very good chances to make final too.
