I hope for Nalby in 2, but with his form only so-so and playing against Simon, who is actually a decent player, hmm.. I think I'll go for Simon instead.

ETA: looking at the results and WTF?!?! Yes, Nalby is a good player WHEN he is on! But he hasn't exactly played that well lately. I know it's the bandwagon effect, but why bandwagon a player that is clearly out of form? He's not exactly the new GOAT, far from it.. Simon is the favorite to win here imo.

Nalbandian is just the better tennis player. Simon is completely overrated, never achieved anything in his career, and he completely collapsed in ranking this year.

Erm. What? Seriously? So 7 career titles, ranking number 6 in the world means Simon has achieved nothing? More than Gasquet anyway :nerner:

Also, he missed the start of the year due to his knee plus the spring clay court swing. Perhaps plays a part in his low rankings maybe.

Rant over.

Considering the opponents Simon played in each final he won, there is nothing to be proud there.

You have to beat more than one player in a tournament to win a title I hope you realise :)

So beating Moya on clay means nothing?

Fair enough but in Marseille he did in fact defeat two top 20 players en route to the title (Hewitt and Baghdatis).

Nalbandian just needs to play good tennis and he'll roll away with this, no problem.
