Davydenko took revenge of Zverev and advanced to the 1/4. He didn`t do anything extraordinary but was enough to beat Misha.
Montpellier. 2nd round. Davydenko bt Zverev 7-5/6-3fran70 10-27-2010, 04:43 PM Davydenko took revenge of Zverev and advanced to the 1/4. He won a tiebreaker for the first time in months which is a good sign and its always nice to see him get a win these days. Hopefully he can string a few together. Its all about getting points wherever he can now to minimize that fall in about a month's time. 12 aces and 0 double faults too:eek: when was the last time he did that? philosophicalarf 10-27-2010, 04:50 PM Hard fought first set, Zverev better till 5-5. Zverev tightens up a touch, Davy finds range and rhythm, wins next 5 and serves it out. Nice serving for Davy, but his return game has to be a concern, especially on these courts. Zverev.... 0/10bps. Not quite as awful as it sounds, but still awful. Blackbriar 10-27-2010, 05:06 PM I've seen it, it was a good performance, we have seen a good Davydenko, trying a lot, really fast, making few mistakes here & there, but playing great tennis overall. Corey Feldman 10-27-2010, 05:22 PM hopefully Denko wins this tournament Mario Sharapov 10-27-2010, 05:23 PM It's not St. Petersburg. It's Monpellier. Corey Feldman 10-27-2010, 05:26 PM Good eye Mario Pirata. 10-27-2010, 06:03 PM Zverev.... 0/10bps. Not quite as awful as it sounds, but still awful. That's Federer/Nadal-in-Bangkok level muggery :o Sapeod 10-27-2010, 06:05 PM I hope Davydenko wins the tournament, but I don't see that happening........tennis needs him back so he can kick Nadal's ass a few more times...same with Del Potro. Good revenge for Nikolay, shouldn't ever be losing to Zverev anyway, nobody in the top 100 should. Certinfy 10-27-2010, 06:16 PM That game to break Zverev in the 2nd set was simply unreal to say the least. Blackbriar 10-27-2010, 06:18 PM I hope Davydenko wins the tournament, but I don't see that happening........tennis needs him back so he can kick Nadal's ass a few more times...same with Del Potro. I have scoop for you... don't tell anybody but... :secret: Wozniacki has a penis Certinfy 10-27-2010, 06:20 PM Word Life... listen... I have scoop for you... don't tell anybody but... :secret: Wozniacki has a penis So that's where Gasquet's penis went. Explains so much. Iván 10-27-2010, 06:42 PM about fucking time kolya Fedicilous 10-27-2010, 06:54 PM I doubt that Davydenko wins this tournament. He's completely inconsistent nowadays. fran70 10-27-2010, 07:09 PM I don`t think that this Donnay tennis racket is helping him much more than his former Prince one: It seemed to be for me that he is forced to look more for the points now and cannot play so easily his counterpouncher style of playing as he used to do it before with the Prince one. Orka_n 10-27-2010, 07:12 PM Good. One match at a time now, Kolya. FormerRafaFan 10-27-2010, 10:37 PM Wow, Davydenko with a win! Who would have thought it..? But seriously, nice to see he does a bit better now after being in such a long slump :) malisha 10-27-2010, 11:14 PM his return game has to be a concern, especially on these courts. yep he was once one of the top returners and his timing was accurate now he really struggles against any kind of serve hopefully he wins this tournament but doubt it Filo V. 10-27-2010, 11:20 PM Nikolay was alright, he served well and did a good job saving the break points, 10 of 10 saved. His game isn't where it once was, though, but you can see the sparks. His returning isn't nearly as good, he's not as aggressive with his returning. He stands farther back now and he misses more. The one thing he did doing well was changing direction with the ball and being able to strike quickly in a rally and take control. But he needs to get some wins and confidence before he's back to his best. Mischa was acceptable until the end of the first set, overall it wasn't too great a performance, but he qualified and got an R1 win, I'm happy with his performance this week. Crazy Girl 10-28-2010, 08:45 AM 12 aces and 0 double faults too:eek::worship::worship::worship: when was the last time he did that?happy for that service. Thanks misty. Crazy Girl 10-28-2010, 08:54 AM Nikolay was alright, he served well and did a good job saving the break points, 10 of 10 saved.:worship: Yes. But I don't like to see Niko put himself in that scary circumstance. Better to avoid. (10 are really too many) Crazy Girl 10-28-2010, 10:53 AM Tough match tomorrow...for the thin. | |
