Davydenko took revenge of Zverev and advanced to the 1/4. He didn`t do anything extraordinary but was enough to beat Misha.

zverev has been playing well lately so good win for davy.
He won a tiebreaker for the first time in months which is a good sign and its always nice to see him get a win these days. Hopefully he can string a few together. Its all about getting points wherever he can now to minimize that fall in about a month's time.

Hard fought first set, Zverev better till 5-5.

Zverev tightens up a touch, Davy finds range and rhythm, wins next 5 and serves it out.


Nice serving for Davy, but his return game has to be a concern, especially on these courts.

I've seen it, it was a good performance, we have seen a good Davydenko, trying a lot, really fast, making few mistakes here & there, but playing great tennis overall.

Good revenge for Nikolay, shouldn't ever be losing to Zverev anyway, nobody in the top 100 should.

That game to break Zverev in the 2nd set was simply unreal to say the least.

I doubt that Davydenko wins this tournament. He's completely inconsistent nowadays.

I don`t think that this Donnay tennis racket is helping him much more than his former Prince one: It seemed to be for me that he is forced to look more for the points now and cannot play so easily his counterpouncher style of playing as he used to do it before with the Prince one.

yep he was once one of the top returners and his timing was accurate now he really struggles against any kind of serve

Nikolay was alright, he served well and did a good job saving the break points, 10 of 10 saved. His game isn't where it once was, though, but you can see the sparks. His returning isn't nearly as good, he's not as aggressive with his returning. He stands farther back now and he misses more. The one thing he did doing well was changing direction with the ball and being able to strike quickly in a rally and take control. But he needs to get some wins and confidence before he's back to his best.

Mischa was acceptable until the end of the first set, overall it wasn't too great a performance, but he qualified and got an R1 win, I'm happy with his performance this week.
