Is Tommy okay? He had a bad loss in Stockholm and pulled out of Vienna last week, now he has to miss an important Spanish tournament?

On the Valencia Open official site in the section written in Castellan there is a ticket's price table and there are matches from the MD scheduled for Sunday (Domingo - Fase previa + Main draw) http://www.valenciaopen500.com/index.php?i=1&p=entradas
Is this a mistake or the tournament has a Sunday start?

Wildcards for Bautista-Agut, Andujar and Marti ?

In the English version this news isn't there yet, but I think they got the 3 WCs.

Wait a minute, do I understand it right that JCF and Pics are co-owners of this tournamnt? OK, I knew JCF had a restaurant in the area but co-owner? And he participates in it (not this year but he was on the EL)?
No WC for Granollers but for some Javier Marti?

Yes, those are the wild-cards. Andujar is a waste imo. They should've given one to Ramirez Hidalgo instead :(

No WC for Granollers but for some Javier Marti?

Martí is the most promising Spaniard nowadays, so his WC is totally understandable, and that is true - Ferrero and Ferrer are the tournament co-owners.

Promising OK, but a WC for Q would be good enough for him and his ranking. Granollers would have been a better choice IMO.

I'm sorry but that "some Javier Marti" is the best Spaniard right now of the younger generation. He's already moved up 300 ranking spots since May for heavens sake! He's a good player, he's young and promising so I think he deserves this WC.

he couldn't play qualies since he was still playing a Future in Croatia this week. I agree that Granollers should've got a wild-card (better than Andujar), but he can qualify and get extra points

Yes, one match (Monaco vs Bautista-Agut) on Sunday. I agree with you, it is really weird because in the ATP Calendar they don't mention that this tournament has a Sunday start.

They have very weird schedule. According to the official site http://www.valenciaopen500.com/index.php?p=guia_evento&s=horarios&i=3 on Sunday 2 MD matches should be played, then 6 rnd1 on Monday and 6 rnd1 on Tuesday. But in reality only 1 MD match was played today, there are 4 matches scheduled for Monday and 11 are left for Tuesday :cuckoo:

Maybe some 1st round matche will be played next Wednesday? Youzhny-Cuevas?

Aenea

Maybe. But according to the official schedule which I posted a link to there are no rnd1 matches on Wednesday, last 16 start on Wednesday. Usually they don’t make a Q wait that long, Qs usually play next day after the Q matches finish.
