Sorry if off-topic, I just don't get how a player with such a low rank as Motti is able to enter every single challenger series!? Can someone plz clarify that for me? Or is there any mistake for his rank?

There is no mistake for the rank. Anyone with a ranking can get on the entry list, but obviously Motti stands no chance of actually getting in.

I'm wondering as well, probably to gice Chris a nice goodbye in his own country. But Mertens or Desein deserved it more ...

Grigor really deserves a wild card. He has won something like 31 out of his last 33 matches and he is playing tommorow for his third consequetive challenger title! He is the highest ranked teenager on the ATP rankings and he would get into the Main Draw of this if his ranking was taken now.

I can understand why they give it to belgian players, this is the only ATP/Challenger event in Belgium. And the Belgian crowd wants to see belgian players

All 4 withdrawals are guys I like. Ricardas and Igor K. are so close to the top 100, hopefully they can come back soon and get there.

Mahut just seems completely gone, hopefully he can pull a rabbit out the hat and do something special in a future event.

The QD is weak but hopefully Marc qualifies!

I know this will be bad for the Belgians, but I hope Stefan beats X-Man in R1. That first quarter is weak for this type of event.

I think Darcis or Guez will make the SF from the second quarter. Hopefully Steve.

The third quarter is also a bit weaker than the other two. Bozo v Olli should be a really good R1. Hope Olli makes the SF.

I'm guessing Mannarino will make the SF from the bottom section. Hopefully Karol does well here too, these are his favorite courts.

Good luck to all of my favorites and hopefully Marc qualifies and does well here also.

C.Rochus has confirmed that he will definitely retire at the end of the season. "I do not have the powers to reach the top 100 any more and being around 200 in the world really doesn't interest me. You can't earn a living at that mark and frankly I would rather stay with my 2 little girls," said the Belgian, who is likely to hang up his racket after the tournament in Valencia at the end of the month. Rochus has been handed a wild card for next week's challenger in Mons.

The main draw is full of interesting names and matches to be followed.

On the down side of the draw Ollie Rochus and Clement are my favourites to be one of the finalists.

In the 1st quarter of the upper side of the draw is quite difficult to predict who can be one of the semifinalists. Interesting first round matches between Malisse and Koubek, Goffin and Bemelmans and Vliegen with Schoorel. Brands has a good draw to be one of the SF.

Good luck for Christophe Rochus and his chance to retire in front of his home crowd.

I don`t know if anyone int the MTF will be attending the tournament but the draw is really good.

Strange the way things moved on this tournament this week. All the favourite players lost early and really sorry for Xavier.

Gicquel is a really lucky loser ;) . This is not surprising to see him winning and especially a couple of good victories like the ones over Stefan Koubek, Bemelmans and Vliegen. Good week for Darcis too but Marc should win if he plays decently.

Good to see Mannarino in another SF and he shouldn`t have many troubles to beat Dustin Brown.

Darcis def. Gicquel 7-6(3) 7-6(3)

Steve played REALLY well today. I've said it before and I'll say it again, when he's on his game, he's a very dangerous player and really a top 60 player at least. Great serving and he hit the forehand and slice great.

Marc was alright, he saved himself with some great serves and volleys. Darcis was the better player throughout the match, I can see why Marc has been struggling but also you can see glimpses of his previous high levels. His returning was poor, though, and he made too many cheap errors.

GL in the final Steve! Get this home country title and get back in the top 100 where you belong.

That volley was clearly out, but luckily it didn't matter. Dustin was barely professional level at the end of the first set, completely ridiculous play. He S&Vs a lot, but his volleying skills are extremely inconsistent, and he lacks great technique. Adrian is a good returner and has good movement, not a good match-up for Brown. Hope he gets this second set too.

I agree with Flyboy about his opinion of Gicquel vs Darcis match :yeah: . Good to see Adrian in a new final too. Hard to predict a winner tomorrow although Steve may feel quite more comfortable with the local support.

Mannarino can't play finals good. Steve has home court advantage as plus, he must win tomorrow.

Monumental choke from darcis, shadow of a player that won a slew of atp titles a few years ago.

Great week and very important victory for Adrian whose victory is situating him really close to the top 100. A few more good results till the end of the year are going to help him to raise his rankings even higher and probably qualify for the AO next year and possibly play an ATP with a high cut to the main entry list like Chennai. I`m very happy for him.

Inspite of the defeat it was a good week for Darcis too who is getting closer to the top 100 aswell. He is a good player but really unpredictable sometimes.

Steve again choked in an important moment. And in his home country event no less. Devastating result for Steve, he probably is devastated himself. I am so sorry for him, but he ruined it. However, now both Adrian and Steve are one event away from the top 100 with nothing to defend, so hopefully they both finish top 100, and remove players who do NOT deserve those positions.

I'm so happy for Adrian, he's proven he's too good for challengers. Good week next week will put him top 100, let's go!

You see Dustin this is what happens when you don't play on clay. You make a semifinal, not lose in the 1st round.
