Is Rafa a better hardcourt player than Djokovic, Murray, Del Potro?

Before this US Open I heard talk that Murray, Djokovic, Del Potro were all better hardcourt players than Rafa.

Rafa has an Australian Open, Gold Medal, US Open, more impressive achievements than those of Djokovic (AO Champion, doubleUSO Finalist), Murray (AO Finalust, USO Finalist), Del Potro (USO Champion) on hardcourts. So where do you rank Rafa now on hardcourts? Does him completing these hardcourt achievements make a difference

Perhaps Djokovic, Murray and del Potro have games better suited for hard courts but career wise Nadal is ahead of them even on this surface. Nadal always seems to be improving and the Nadal of today is so much better than the young man who started dominating the clay courts in 05. He has come a long way. Today his game looks so much better on hard courts.

I am certainly not a Rafa fan and it was painful to know that there had to be a winner in this particular USO final. However, Rafa's achievements speak for themselves. You can go on about technique, easy draws, lack of competition but that's just all non-substantive fluff. The fact is that when it comes big HC tournaments, Nadal's wins dwarf those of Djokovic, Murray and certainly Del Potro.

As of now, yes.

Yes, Nadal is the best on all surfaces. Even if tennis was played on ice with skates and with a puck instead of a ball, Nadal would be the best.

Would Nadal beat Borg at hockey?

Yes, he is.

Maybe not consistency, but achievements, you bet.

I wouldn't say categorically so but in finals he's a different beast, whether it's cement, dirt, quicksand or bubblewrap.

Yep, just like Del Potro is the best on grass and Murray is the best on clay out of those lot.

Seriously, achievement wise I think it may be Djokovic now, but then Nadal does have that Gold medal...

Yep, just like Del Potro is the best on grass and Murray is the best on clay out of those lot.

Seriously, achievement wise it's obvious he is though.

Potentially, all of them are better hardcourters than Nadal. Nole is clearly the best among them potentially and achievement-wise.

Djokovic has finally started to achieve his potential in hard-court slams, making it obvious how much better he is.

Well, I'm a Murray fan but facts are Nadal two HC slams & Murray zero :(

When Andy is on, I think his backhand CC to Nadal's forehand gives him opportunities to dictate rallies but the head to head & slam success of Rafa suggests I may be wrong ;)

Nole is best HC player just now, best player full stop. Del Potro has long way to go to get back to previous best. Murray isn't too far behind Nadal but needs a slam soon.
