By all means have a proper discussion too.

By best you mean powerful or consistent?

In my opinion James Blake's backhand ,at top his top form was highly attractive to watch.

It's between Gasquet and Guga for me all time. Nowdays, Richard's followed by Youzhny/Stan/Haas

Just to see if he gets any votes.

NID he will

And this poll has him in

So according to MTF, Nadal is the GOAT, best volleyer, has the best serve and groundstroke, huge slice and best one handed backhand of all time.

Putting Rafa in this poll is not even funny.

Wawa has the best one-handed BH and by far.

Gasq no doubt

Gasquet without any doubt.
If the rest of his game was only half as good as his BH,he would be a top 5 player at the very least and probably nobody would even dare debating about who's got the best 1 handed BH.
The fact he can generate more power from his BH than from his FH says it all really.

Best one handed backhand - Gasquet
Best double handed backhand - Nalbandian

Wawrinka's BH is very good but seriously it's not even close to Gasquet's BH.
To sum it up:
-Wawrinka without his BH can still remain a good top 100 player.
-Gasquet without his BH is probably not even a top 200 player.

Why express yourself through this, Richie?

 You'd think he can't serve and can't volley, when lo and behold he does it better than Stan. But given your position, one has to wonder why do you think he's underachieving?

Haas' backhand is better than Youzhny's backhand.

Seems to me Stan's and Richard's backhands are about equally good. Neither has a brilliant slice though. Maybe Richard a little better on the slice.

But the rest of Richard's game is much worse. Stan actually has a good forehand (and serve).

Gaudio :p

I still think it's Gasquet's, but Stan's is great as well. Stan's isn't quite as elegant because it does look a bit more "muscled" but he hits it so well and gets enormous pop on it. I love Youzhny's too, but I've never been a fan of him doing the follow-through where he lets one hand go on the release...but he doesn't do that as much as he used to, and it's very fluid looking.

Actually his serve is quite the huge weakness
