I'm sure Lendl is quite pleased.

I think this would have only been the 7th consecutive final.

Indeed. But the record is 8. And by not reaching his 7th he will probably never reach 8 consecutive finals.

Both Nadal and Fed's four consecutive RG finals streak were snapped by Soderling. Fed's seven consecutive Wimbledon finals streak was snapped by Berdych and six consecutive USO streak was snapped by Djokovic.

Still, pretty impressive stats, considering.

Lmao.

See, this is what I call Karma.

After seeing every single thread about Federer setting QF and SF records, we get one about Federer's record being denied an extension by Joker, and all those people shut up. Thank god.

Federer can still reach Connors' 12 consecutive semis at the us open, but it will be very tough.

He will also deny Nadal his career grand slam I think :(

He's got more of a chance than Federer would have had against him.

It's not the only record chase that Nole denied, but it's one of the most impressive.

At least Soderling 'allowed' Federer to tie this Lendl record: 7 consecutive seasons with 20+ slam wins.

Djokovic's real claim to fame in snapping streaks is preventing Federer from reaching every grand slam final from 2005 Wimbledon to 2010 Australian open inclusive. That's 18 finals out of 19 consecutive slams.
