Sweet revenge for Nole. Showed great spirit througout the match. As for Federer....... No words... Gutsy fight in the final set is probably the only plus point he takes from this.

I pulled for Novak so hard. And I am a big fan of yours. jonas 09-11-2010, 10:53 PM Federer is done for. Pfloyd 09-11-2010, 10:53 PM Very well done Djokovic :yeah: Pirata. 09-11-2010, 10:53 PM Terrible match :o Clutch play from Nole though. Better not roll over for Nadal tomorrow. tyruk14 09-11-2010, 10:53 PM Djokovic played out of his fucking MIND! No way can he beat Nadal tomorrow, though. Shame he was on last. Still, I hope he can prove me wrong. littleash 09-11-2010, 10:54 PM Go cry yourself, stupid bitch. moon language 09-11-2010, 10:54 PM Wow! nanoman 09-11-2010, 10:54 PM Pathetic display by Federer. No point in hiring Anacone, when he resorts to his old style passive returning during big points. Serenidad 09-11-2010, 10:54 PM Nadal controlled this match from start to finish. NID Roger would lose after Nadal won. Too afraid of embarrassing himself further. Yay Novak you took out this clown. :bigclap: KarlyM 09-11-2010, 10:54 PM WOW!!! http://smilearchive.com/s/contrib/tweetz/bigeek.gif Great match. :worship: Nole did great! :yeah: Elena. 09-11-2010, 10:54 PM Awesome Novak ! Why So Serious? 09-11-2010, 10:55 PM Long live the new KING :worship: Orka_n 09-11-2010, 10:55 PM 2 MPs wasted. Poor from Roger and now Novak is tired. Nadal's luck in this tourney has been unbelievable. Djokovic has one shot of saving tennis from dying tomorrow. alter ego 09-11-2010, 10:55 PM Unbeliveble serving from Roger He coulnd't put a first serve in to save his life. What the fuck was up with that passive play on match points? He got 2nd serves and he only pushed, and pushed! Jaz 09-11-2010, 10:55 PM Roger didn't deserve to win, 2 MP's lost. Roger Federer serve? Pathetic. He needs to sort that serve out or Federer is finished. raven gypsy 09-11-2010, 10:55 PM Congrats Nole. I'm disappointed, but he obviously was the better player. Man, I'm sad for Fed. Good luck tomorrow Rafa!!!! soraya 09-11-2010, 10:57 PM The best player won...hope he has enough left in the tank. LoveFifteen 09-11-2010, 10:57 PM I wanted Rafa to have the chance to beat Roger, but truth be told, I like Djokovic so much more. Hopefully the final will be just as good as this fantastic semi. :hearts: I can't wait for Roger's bitchy, petulant press conference! :rolls: :haha: "it's just unbelievable that I've made 7 unbelievable US Open SFs." Rafallucci. 09-11-2010, 10:57 PM Great match, by both. Just insane tempo during the rallies at times. Some ridiculious angles, shots. Novak won very deservedly, great and courageous play. But I think Rafa will win tomorrow. l_mac 09-11-2010, 10:58 PM Hideous result. SheepleBuster 09-11-2010, 10:59 PM The worst case scenario happened. A 4 hour 5 setter. So Nadal wins his slam by playing a tired Novak. Better than beating Roger I guess. This Roger would have lost to Nadal. The first 1st was great. The 20 minutes of last set were great. The rest were sh** The Magician 09-11-2010, 11:00 PM Great play from Novak, but terrible pushing from Fed and going back to the slice return :o What a gift to Nadal, tennis is truly dead and the schedulers at the USO killed it :fiery: moon language 09-11-2010, 11:00 PM I can't wait for Roger's bitchy, petulant press conference! :rolls: :haha: Yes! Arkulari 09-11-2010, 11:00 PM Nole played great and deserved the victory, that fifth set was full of drama and both made some awesome shotmaking Rafa getting his CGS tomorrow by not beating his biggest rival, like Roger did last year :) born_on_clay 09-11-2010, 11:01 PM revenge is so sweet :yeah: great !!!! SheepleBuster 09-11-2010, 11:01 PM Nole played great and deserved the victory, that fifth set was full of drama and both made some awesome shotmaking Rafa getting his CGS tomorrow by not beating his biggest rival, like Roger did last year :) And if he loses to Nole? Bayo 09-11-2010, 11:02 PM I am so over this tournament. samanosuke 09-11-2010, 11:03 PM This is the end . It was nice till was living . Thank you for all Rog gbmkc 09-11-2010, 11:06 PM Federer played poorly, but his poor tennis is better than most players' best. It's the problem he has after having played beautifully for so long. He just seems ordinary now. Novak played good tennis. He beat on Federer when he had to do it, and broke him when it really counted. I was impressed. I didn't think he had anything left. Commander Data 09-11-2010, 11:06 PM Pathetic display by Federer. No point in hiring Anacone, when he resorts to his old style passive returning during big points. This. Federer had the match an his raquet like almost always but played to passive when it mattered most. Great match overall, tough. I must admit, I'm really happy for Nole. he deserved it. How he played in the 5th was cool. I will root so bad for Djokovic in the final. GO NOLE!!!!!! NJ88 09-11-2010, 11:07 PM Hell yes!!! Djokovic showed incredible heart coming through those two match points and ending up winning the match. Incredible play in that final set. Djokovic's forehands were scary towards the end of that match. I'm giddy at that result! :D The Djokovic of 07/08 is BACK!!! Don't sell Federer short, he played a great match with some great tennis. This match could ahve gone either way tbh. So glad Nole won though, we know that we're gonna get a US Champion who's never won before! Awesome. Arkulari 09-11-2010, 11:07 PM People are talking as if this loss erases everything Roger has done in the last decade for haters: I want to see YOUR fave(s) competing like Roger does at the age of 29 ;) tennizen 09-11-2010, 11:09 PM Great fight by Novak. Hopefully even if he loses tomorrow, he reverts to being a big challenger for slam events from now on. Rogi is incredible. Even when he isn't playing his best, it's so damn hard to beat him. Certinfy 09-11-2010, 11:10 PM What a way to save tennis, Novak Djokovic you are a legend, I also love your parents as well. :) JolánGagó 09-11-2010, 11:10 PM Fed is finished. extremaduratenis 09-11-2010, 11:12 PM Well, tomorrow forecast says it is gong to be a rainy day in NY. Probably final will be played on Monday. but... come on Rafa, just one step to be a legend!!!! Mechlan 09-11-2010, 11:12 PM Also, big props again to Roger. The reason he plays so many more 5 setters these days is because he has a lot more bad days than he used to. And still he's so freaking tough to beat. This man has a lot of heart and he showed it out there again today. Absolutely no shame in losing to a great up and coming player who played fantastically on the day. Fed Fan 09-11-2010, 11:12 PM Yeah, Djokovic showed a lot of guts, especially towards the end of the fifth set. Federer, on the other hand, pushed the ball back when returning serve. The same is true after Federer took the lead in the first and third sets. Federer should have pressed on, but collapsed. Djokovic was there to pick up the pieces. For stepping it up when it mattered, Djokovic deserved the victory. alter ego 09-11-2010, 11:13 PM This. Federer had the match an his raquet like almost always but played to passive when it mattered most. Great match overall, tough. I must admit, I'm really happy for Nole. he deserved it. How he played in the 5th was cool. I will root so bad for Djokovic in the final. GO NOLE!!!!!! I can't understand what the fuck's wrong with him. I mean you can explain the poor serving thinking he had a stiff back or some other minor problem before the match, but the way he played those 2 mp was attrocious. He had 2 weak 2nd serves to aim at, and he just sliced the ball back in play no presseure what so ever on Djokovic who just kept on attaking. The same thing happened at 30-40 in the last game. It's the third time this year he has lost from match points up. tektonac 09-11-2010, 11:13 PM Great play from Novak, but terrible pushing from Fed and going back to the slice return :o What a gift to Nadal, tennis is truly dead and the schedulers at the USO killed it :fiery: 3:0 for Fed, right! next time just STFU! Hingisova 09-11-2010, 11:15 PM Fed was second-fiddle to Roger tonight as Nole cashed in on all the big points when he needed to:worship:...very exciting and great shot-making in the last set...spellbounding till the very end:boxing:...Nole deserved this win....too many loose errors on Fed's side over 50 some errors:eek:....can't advance against the world's #1 with those stats!:help: HIngisova:wavey:: NadalPhan 09-11-2010, 11:41 PM I am sorry Roger. I pulled for Novak so hard. And I am a big fan of yours. Then you're not a true fan of Federer. Jimnik 09-10-2011, 10:19 PM Mods obviously never merged this with its bigger brother. jackjill888 09-10-2011, 10:42 PM heartbreak final blow to fed fed is over | |
