good point. Thats what I was thinking. He has played two day matches at Ashe. ANd their match is going to be a day match being the first semifinal since Fed-Djo is going to be the marquee matchup which will follow next. However, I dont think Rafa has come this far to lose to this guy.

It is quite obvious either Nadal is winning the whole thing or losing to Federer in the final. I will be shocked if Djokovic or Youzhny win their respective semi finals. It will end with the two best players playing for the trophy this Sunday. I would tip Nadal due to the match up and his level of play this tournament but Federer will be his toughest opponent. Likewise for Federer as well.

At one stage there was 4 breaks in a row in the Waw/Youzhny match. You can't get away with losing your serve so much with Nadal, because its so hard to break his serve. So I'm not convinced Youzhny is playing at a high enough level. But then again Youzhny may matchup better with Nadal than he matched up with Waw. It's a matchup issue more than a quality of play issue sometimes.

To be fair, the only players stopping Nadal are the other guys ranked in the top 5 in the world. Three of them were in the other half of the draw (Federer, Djokervic and Soderling) and that only left Murray in Nadal's half, and he threw a hissy fit and went home early last week. So Nadal will make the final and then get his first match in the last two weeks where he knows he's going to have to fight for it.

As for Youzney, if he serves like he did against Wawrinka this is straight sets for Nadal something like 6-2, 6-1, 6-3. If he picks up his serve there might be a match on. But like so many matches at the US Open, serving well is half the battle.
