Amazing story, Qureshi is a journeyman doubles player but has reached the SF of US Open mens dubs with India's Rohan Bopanna as #16 seed. Qureshi is also in finals of Mixed with Peschke (unseeded together). Really nice interview with Qureshi who is a class act and it's a beautiful thing to see him and Bopanna join together despite politics, and make a huge statement in New York. Would be wonderful to see them win the tournament, they are more than players, all world leaders should gain inspiration from these two beautiful human beings.

Seems like a very nice, friendly guy. Goes to show the world of tennis doesnt just revolve around the happenings and personalities of the top ten players.

Great guy and great for the sport. he used to be a threat on grass in singles. I wish there were more players from that area of the world rather than the endless drones from Europe.

I can't hear this story anymore, but good wins for him this week.

Beautifully said. And I couldn't agree more. Qureshi is a fine representative of his sport, his country, and his own compassionate values.

A very elegantly written post, Rioresigned. Thank you. You are a class act, yourself. :)

Cliche questions by a clueless wannabe journo, you ask the same questions a primadonna or a marathon runner who overcame a cancer. Or a Nobel prize winner in Physics.

My interview from last year was way better.
