List is actually better than usual. Although some of these guys are just the same guys, with better rankings. Interesting to see Jo Willy here. Maximo should be playing S.A. clay events, don't know why he's here, but good luck to him. Maybe Davydenko can start getting his game back on track for this event.

A lot better chance to defend his points in this tournament rather than against the likes of Federer, Soderling and Berdych in Stockholm.

http://www.asapsports.com/show_conference.php?id=66174Q. What made you decide to play the Kremlin Cup this year instead of Stockholm, where you won the title last year?
MARCOS BAGHDATIS: Because last year I wanted to play Moscow Kremlin Cup. I asked for a wild card. Moscow didn't give me. I always wanted to play Moscow. It's easier to go there after Shanghai. It's not so far.
Yeah, I always wanted to play Moscow. But last year they didn't give me a wild card. So finally I got into Stockholm, and that's why I played Stockholm. So this year I'm playing Moscow.

http://www.kremlincup.ru/db/news/1487“The wild card list is still under discussion,- says Shamil Tarpishev.- I think that half of the Russian players who didn’t get directly into the main draw, will have an opportunity to take part in the Kremlin Cup while others will play in the “St. Peterburg Open”.

It happens often with alternates. He'll choose which one to play.
